1979 LSU USC has to be #1. By far the loudest and most sustained crowd noise of any game I've been to. Crowd was standing up from opening kickoff to end of game. We had #1 USC beat until refs called a phantom personal foul against LSU (Bengy Thibideaux I believe) on a 4th down pass incompletion by USC that would have ended the game with LZU winning 12-10. I've been to a lot of games since but nothing like that one.

That game defined the soul of LSU football. Our good ole boys were overmatched, underdogs playing for their pride. There’s no way we should have been on the same field with USC and their behemoths.
Yet we took them to the brink and would have won if not for the refs not blowing their whistle and instead a phantom face mask call.
Words can not describe the atmosphere that day. The fans were there the entire game from the opening kickoff, until the last Hail Mary we threw into the north end zone, and on past the final gun. No one would leave. It was pure bedlam.
I’ve never been so proud of our team and the fans. It will never be duplicated.

1. 1959 Ole Miss. I was in utero. Cannon return.
2. 2003 LSU vs Oklahoma. Importance of victory.
3. 2019 Clemson. Nirvana.
4. 2007 Ohio State. Another championship
5 2003 Georgia

Honorable mentions:

All Texas A&M games in Tiger Stadium in last 50 years. Love beating their arse.

2007 LSU destroying Virginia Tech in sweltering heat. Before game Va Tech message board questioned that Tiger Stadium was gonna beat hot compared to Virginia in September. They were all passing out before even entering Tiger Stadium :-)

2005 Peach Bowl. Beat Miami on the field and in the locker room.

1979 Love- Hate game. USC Tiger Stadium. Face mask my arse!

2004 LSU vs Oregon State with the unfurling of flag during torrential downpour pregame.

1968 LSU vs Ole Miss. Even though a loss, it was my first post birth game in Tiger Stadium. As the Ole Miss players were coming out of tunnel the LSU fans were spitting on the Ole Miss Players. I knew then that Ole Miss was dirty people.

1959 and 1968 games attended with my dad
1979 game attended with good friend
All other games attended with my son

1. Clemson January 2020 - GOAT
2. Oklahoma January 2004 - The one we had been waiting for.
3 Ohio State January 2008 - Can't leave out a Natty.
4. Florida 2007 - Tiger Stadium at its peak.
5. Notre Dame 1971 - Tiger Stadium at its previous peak.

EDIT in response to the people who listed USC 1979 - I have always said that was the greatest game in Tiger Stadium history that we lost. We got screwed. It did not make my top 5 here because I only list victories.

First game I went to with my dad. He was a grad student at the time. I'll never forget it and it will never be duplicated. The comeback against Houston and the night Cecil the Diesel ran all over Auburn were the only other games I saw that came close to that level of excitement and drama.

4. LSU v Auburn 2007

I was a freshman at LSU in 07, the VT game was my first time in Tiger Stadium. That game, and that season, were an unbelievable start to my college experience.

Ole Miss 1972. Won 17-16 (Bert Jones to Brad Davis)
USC 1979. Loss 9-6 (Bogus Face Mask Call)
Auburn 1988. Won 7-6 (Earthquake Game)
Florida 1997. Won 28-21 (Upset #1, Cedric Donaldson Pick 6)
Alabama 2001. Won 35-21 (Josh Reed 293 Yards)

I quit going to games in the early 2000’s. My son would bring one of his buddies to the games. I got more satisfaction from them having fun at the games

Some of mine are not necessarily for the product on the field, but just the memory of the events. I had a streak of attending every game, home and away, for about 18 years so and I am old. So, a lot to choose from. Not necessariy in order but:

Blue Grass Miracle in Lexington
Ole Miss in 2003---eli fell on his arse
Bama--Pigs Fly Game
Bama--2007 the first time LES and Nick met; won 41-34--still one of the most exciting games I've ever seen.
Bama-- 2011 9-6 the most tense and nerve killing game.

Gotta add in the Barn Burning and Earthquake Auburn games.

Just for the unique trip experience. Uwashington, Arizona, Virgina Tech, syracuse and Wisconsin

3.) LSU vs. Georgia 2018 (big dick Joe earned his big dick status this game with that run at the end)
4.) LSU vs. Auburn 2017 (20 point comeback)

I came to post these. I've been to plenty, but the past few years were pretty fun.

ETA: 2020 excluded.

5. Burreaux A&M game 2019
I told my 10 year old son to pay attention because he was witnessing history. I reminded him of how old men his grandpa's age talked about seeing Billy Canon play. I told him one day when he is an old geezer and I'm long gone, he'll be telling his grandchildren he saw Joe Burrow play for LSU.
