Dude, Big Ben was downright terrible in postseason.

Dude, there were other pitchers who did well.

Dude, position players do more than pitchers since they play every game.

Dude come on.

Study up.

I didn't say that, but making Big Ben in the top-5 is a stretch considering post season and players like Todd Walker, Joey Belle, Chad Ogea, Paul Byrd, Brad Hawpe, Gary Hymel(sp?), Theriot, Johnson, etc.

Just off the top of my head.

Considering LSU's post-seasons then that plays a major factor.

Ben failed!

There was another pitcher on the same staff who was equally as good as Big Ben. But, he never gets mentioned anywhere.

Todd Walker is an automatic top-3 and if one doesn't think so is ignorant of baseball.

How did he do in the regular season AND post-season?

Get edumacated.

Oh yes he was that good... look at him now.

If I had to field a team of 5, I'd go with:

1. Wally Pontiff
2. Todd Walker
3. Brad Hawpe
4. Aaron Hill
5. Ryan Theriot

Sorry but Wally Pontiff can't possibly be ahead of guys like Trey McClure. Wally was good, but this is a very elite list.

wally is down the list even as far as 3B go...behind mcclure, dunn, barbier, ect.

ive only seen like 3 mentions of eddy furniss...furniss is arguably the best hitter in SEC history, he's definitely top 5
