You're probably correct that most Tiger baseball fans are unaware of him. On the other hand, he played in the early 70's and it's hard to compare his success/impact as a Tiger with those in the Skip and post-kip era.
BTW, if one wants to talk of the all-time all-around great athletes at LSU, Mike Miley should certainly be included. He was a fantastic QB for us in '73 and as you mentioned a 1st rd MLB pick.
