That’s the thing, Reed was the #1 option for the offense and nobody could stop him. You look at the % of offense accounted for and he’s #1 for a WR at LSU by a mile. For example, the popular #1 is Chase who accounted for 20% of LSUs offense in 2019, Reed accounted for almost 34% of LSUs offense in 2001.

The disrespect for Josh Reed is ridiculous.

Uh, being 5th on that list isn't disrespect at all.

Probably 3 of those guys will be hall of famers.

He should be top 3 & I have him at #2. Only 2 Biletnikoff winners in LSU history although Nabers got robbed in 2023

Having Jarvis at #9 feels disrespectful but I don’t know who he can be placed over.

I get it.

I'm just pointing out that the difference between #5 and #3 on that list is small...and it's an absolute elite list.

And, I loved Josh Reed. He truly seemed unstoppable at LSU.

Over OBJ if you look at their college careers.

I have to say Chase was the complete package, but Reed could take over games. Which is pretty uncommon for a wide receiver. If you saw him play, you’d have him 1 or 2.

Jefferson would be higher if he didn’t play on the same team as Chase, but I’d be fine with OBJ one above him and Nabors rounding out the top five. It’s an unpopular opinion on tRant that OBJ is better than Landry but obviously he was WR1 and the stats back it up, also a big part of the 2011 team as a freshman.

There was a string of big bodied go-to receivers from Bowe to LaFell to Toliver to Randall that are hard to separate looking back. We all were sure Dupre was gonna be the next one on that list Also Russell Gage jet sweep FTW

I got no issue with the top 3.

Gets questionable from there.

Jefferson deserves to be on there as much as Chase. He was just as impactful. It’s Reed, Chase, Jefferson, Landry, Nabers top 5. Bowe, Doucet, Clayton, Lafell, Thomas, Beckham in next tier Others are debatable.

Lacy was outstanding. He somehow made us think Nuss was a good QB.

He was overshadowed by great WRs, but Kyren Lacy was a smooth route runner and had great production on a bad Brian Kelly team.

Technically you could put Lafell over Jefferson based on production, but he played more games.

Never put Lafell over Jefferson are you crazy

I’d put Josh Reed at 1, Chase at 2, Jefferson at 3. Reed/Chase might be a 1a 1b situation. People forget how insanely good Josh Reed was. I was only 13 or so but good lord the dude could play.

Jefferson being 3 might be biased because of 2019 and also he’s the best in the NFL now, but those are the top 3 that come to mind for me.

Seems we’ve forgotten about all the drops Lacy had

Top 5 since 2000 for me:
Reed
Chase
Jefferson
Bowe
Landry

People forget Jarvis was a dog, caught everything, tough as hell, blocked and played special teams

No I have JJ at #4 & Lafell at #8

Was just making a comment that Lafell actually has more catches, more yards, & more TDs than JJ

Craig Davis was a first round pick
Skyler Green was an All American and made some big catches during championship season.

3rd and 6......I want Reed. Nothing against the other guys, but Reed could make the hard catch. Plus he was good after the catch so a swing pass could be as good as a downfield pass.
