Because he's a miserable prick. Howard only threw for 10 or more TDs in one year (1994, his junior) and that was versus 17 interceptions.
Nuss ALREADY has 10 TDs for 2024, versus 2 INTS, (4 if not for "refs"
). Nuss is on pace to have more TD passes in 2024 than Howard had in his entire career (34).
On the other hand, I don't want to be too rough on Howard. He played 3 years for Curley and I wouldn't wish that on an enemy. His 1995 season ("Bring Back the Magic"), including his performance in the rematch against Auburn (Troy Twillie literally FTMFW), was one of the great comeback stories in LSU history.

One of the most frustrating games I've ever watched! I couldn't believe Amedee kept calling for Howard to pass when LSU had a big lead.

I remember something about Richard Condon going off about Howard on the air and I think he called the radio station to confront Condon.
There was a game after Auburn in Tiger Stadium and after the game in the locker room Condon was referring to said INT game and we lost this one to and Richard being Richard kept needling Howard about that game as well as the loss that day and Jamie lost it and had him off the ground choking him pinned against the wall. They had to be separated and the rest they say is history lolol.

Way more on Amadee than Jamie. Teenage Hot Carl wanted to jump through the tv screen and literally beat Amadee to death with my bare hands. Even at that age, I knew most of that wasn’t on Howard.

Absolutely happened, on 100.7 fm before it went country.

What's even not funny in the famous 95 12-6 "Troy Twillie" game
the whistle from the stands sack on patrick nix. troys great INT to deal it.
i listened to that game on the radio sitting on the floor in my living room. those were the days. did not have all the games on TV. had to rely on radio for football and basketball and baseball.

I didn’t realize that it’s been around since 1994. I thought it had opened in the late 90’s
That may have been the first year it was open. Those years are kind of foggy but it was an awesome place back then. The talent level was solid and they had dime days where wings were .10/wing. Great time to be at LSU but the football was terrible.

Sadly I remember it well.
Me too, and I remember thinking we should just punt on first down because our defense was suffocating their offense. But alas, the shitiest play calling I’ve ever witnessed allowed their defense to score three touchdowns.

Horrible play calling aside, look at 14 running wide open parallel to the double covered receiver Howard threw to
Easier pass with nobody 15 yards from him
Howard didn't do himself any favors. Every INT he threw was just terrible

Well the truth to that game from what I heard, and it was from a credible source, was that Howard was up late the night before with a certain girl who had got around with more than one player on the team that year and that she wore him out and that was why he threw all those interceptions. I knew the girl as she was a bartender at a bar my best friend worked at and she was a football player groupie and that is the story. She supposedly also did Charles Barkley at the SEC championship one year.

That would be the Lynn Amedee Interception game.

Man I imagine that was a rough one to attend. I went to the AU game in '02 and while they kicked the crap out of us 31-7 they did it from start to finish so it didn't feel as bad

I hope that his son does the same thing during his first start in Death Valley--if that day ever comes.

Makes you wonder. Kinda like Kenny Stabler for Saints throwing three pick sixes against the Rams. The only touchdowns by Rams. Their offense only scores three points in the game; FG at very end to win. Hmm.

I was there. What really sucked is other than upsetting Bama in 93, LSU fans had not had much to cheer for in years.
Auburn was on a 14 game winning streak. It would have been a huge win. The 3rd pick 6 was as soul crushing a moment as I can ever remember seeing in person.

I went to that game in a rental car with a group of friends. We had some humorous things about Auburn written on the windows. After the game, we were understandably upset and then saw the car had been heavily keyed. At least we had opted for the extra insurance so we just dropped the car off without penalty.
