What about basketball? To me me that would be the bigger accomplishment for LSU since we’ve never done it before.

New QB????
Brennan and Nussmeir are still here right?
Most of the DB's expected to start played last year
Culture is overrated
Playbook should fit the players available not make the players fit it
LSU has utilized the transfer portal and NIL

2023 for both, unless NIL changes. Makes me wonder who will be the Sabermetrics type school in baseball.

LSU will be a dominant baseball team next year. Should contend.

Football is at least a year away. I think they will be good next year, but they have to adjust to a new staff, and I have doubts about the secondary and the QB.

I’m running out of time, so the sooner the better. Can see the finish line, but can’t judge the distance. :-)
Hoping for one more from each team.

Ah, I think both in one more year. That said, they could both do it next year.

3rd or 4th season, historically. I'm on the more optimistic 2-3 years given the starting point of the teams and quality of the new coaching staffs.

At the very least, LSU plays for a national title in both baseball and football in the next 3-4 years. And wins at least one of them. I take that back. Obviously LSU football wins the natty in the 23 season, simply due to the 4 year cycle. 03,07,11,in 15 we were ranked 2nd in initial playoff rankings before shitting the bed. Only because the national championship game wasn't being played in New Orleans that year. Which would also be the only thing keeping us from doing it in 23. 19 of course will stand alone for eternity as the greatest season of all time. There is no denying the voodoo associated with the 4 year NC run to the title when the Dome is the host site for the championship game. If they would have stayed with the old 4 year rotation between Rose, Orange, Fiesta, Sugar, you could go ahead and pencil in LSU for eternity. Quite remarkable really. All part of the magical lore of LSU and being blessed to be born into rooting for the Tigers.

With a new coach in football I would normally say 2 seasons away but LSU is an experienced team so next year.

Your expectations are way too high. Not realistic.

BB: With the addition of the Creighton ACE, and hopefully at least one more SP impact transfer - AKA P from UCLA - NEXT season. That along with an incoming recruiting class, and further development of the returning roster. Put it in the books.

FB: This team, on paper could go 7-5 but also could go 9-3, or even better. Depends on the OL and the DEF's ability to function as a cohesive unit. OL will set the pace for whomever is at QB - we have some good ones to pick from and a stable of RBs and WRs that can make plays. The DEF will have some new faces, especially at DB. How quickly they come together as a unit will make our DL and LB even better. Our DL has the ability to wreck some gameplans this year and I believe our LBs with Jones, Penn, Baskerville and Perkins will be better than most think. Best of luck to CBK and our Tigers!
