We don't have any great players on this team which is why we probably won't sniff the NCAA tourney, but it is at least refreshing to see that we roll 10 deep in terms of dudes who at least understand the game, something we obviously didn't have last year.

Your evaluation is way off the mark. LSU has a much better men’s basketball team than anyone wants to believe. Except maybe the players and the coach and one or two fans like me.

They are devoid of any higher-tier talent, but they are well-coached and scrappy. Possibly an NIT team.
Will be interesting to see what McMahon can do after the sanctions are gone this season.
