Chaisson represented well but to have Clark and curry who is now transferring awarded that number pretty much puts a nail in the coffin for this tradition. Maybe take a break for a year.

Sure as hell don’t need an offensive and defensive player with it.

Hot take: O didn't like the tradition since it went back to Miles' days and sandbagged it.

Same thing he tried to do with number 7 by giving it to that garbage WR that helped us lose to A&M.

Agree completely. Both 18 and 7 traditions should be abandoned.

I just don’t think we should hand it out every year. Same thing with #7. It should only be a thing that happens maybe once every other year for a special and exceptional player. Don’t see the purpose of forcing it on someone who isn’t even that good.

Pretty cool it all started with Matt Mauck.

I'd probably take a bullet for that guy.

If Cox came back I would let him have it. Same with ZVR. Give Cade York number 7.

It's about leadership, both guys were very good leaders.

How about no special numbers? It’s a forced tradition.

18 is about leadership. Leave that alone. Whose to say that Curry and Clark have not been good leaders this year.

The 7 thing........drop it.

Brennan 18 and Stingley 7 would certainly be the most representative of the spirit of the numbers in quite a while outside of 2019.

No, O Needs to do a better job of picking who is the viable candidate for the number just like he needs to do a better job of hiring better coordinators

You must have a miserable life to call someone who has given more to LSU than you ever will, garbage. Not all of the players are great, some are not really all that good, but they are out there trying.

They aren't garbage, sir or madam, you are.

The number needs to go to a player that has contributed for at least 3 years or more and is a vital part of the team's success. Coach Orgeron broke protocol and gave it to two players before the 2019 season. Stick with just one player that truly deserves it beginning in the 2022 season because there sure aren't many upperclassmen deserving of the number for the 2021 season.

Clever reply. Middle school-ish, but that's not a surprise.

But you didn't refute what I wrote.

So specifically how are you better than any player?

Why do you think that denigrating a player elevates you?

What have you done for LSU?
