Why would I answer any of your questions?

You can't even name the guy I'm referring to but you want to blindly defend him because he put on an LSU jersey. He was a garbage wide receiver and punt returner.

You are a garbage human.

End it, end it, end it. It is stupid, 7 is stupid. If someone earns it, I mean really earns it, give it to em. Like Boutte at halftime. Other than that, who really seperated themselves.

Whose to say that Curry and Clark have not been good leaders this year

I'll say it, about Clark, anyway. He's been a miserable leader by his actions on the field. And I don't mean by not filling holes, being slow to react, being out of position, or blowing coverages (which he's done in every game). I mean by compounding his poor play by not hustling after the ball.

Coaches count loafs. I'll guarantee that he's one of the leaders on our team in that category.

You didn't name him did you? You called the player "that garbage WR".

So let me ask again, how does denigrating another person elevate you?

What have you done for LSU that is better than the "garbage WR that helped us (? you played?) lose to A&M?

Or don't make it an every year gig. Make based on merit, not given because it has to be done for that year.

If there's no standout player who deserves it, you don't give it that year.

Current players and coaches have zero connection to the players that made those numbers special. It was a part of the Miles era. Put it to bed and move on. Find the next Hester and PP7 and MAYBE let their numbers be used that way.
Could have easily remade the tradition with Burrow’s number.

I like the 18 but it needs to go to an actual leader. Cade York should wear it.

I liked the tradition of the Breaux Bridge kids wearing 31.

It's about leadership, both guys were very good leaders.

It isn't about talent. Their teammates voted on them to carry the 18 number as leaders in the locker room. It isn't for the most talented player like 7 is supposed to be.

And the guys in the 18 club fricking love it. They're like a little fraternity.

Well, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black.

Bunch of dumb fricks in this thread that think the # traditions have anything to do with them. They’re not for us, they are for the team. We get absolutely zero input, despite how incredibly high most of you dumb fricks’ opinions of yourselves are. Psssst. You’re not that important. Nobody gives a flying frick what you think about any number. Get over yourselves. Or dont. Whatever.

If Cox came back I would let him have it. Same with ZVR. Give Cade York number 7.

Nope. As long as the players love it you do it. What does a couple of bad players have to do with ending traditions?

Well they chose poorly this time for the defensive choice. Curry is still a good 18
