This year is a great schedule for the football program. LSU doesn't have many star players. Maybe that is a turn off.

I gave up my 3 tickets in SEZ. I still donated to LSU though. Will not be back until Orgeron is gone. I was only close to keeping them due to first decent home slate in years.

Next year will be a bloodbath if O doesn't win 10 games.

Because it's a waste of money when people couldn't even give tickets away to games like Troy, that we lost.

Nuetral sites don't help either, taff fees are the same, you lose a game. We've gone from 8 home games to 7 and 6.

This too, why add more empty seats when that money could have been spent keeping people in their seats.

When I want to sell tickets I post on here and I get yahoos offering me $20 for a ticket that I have 190 to 120 in depending on whether they are on sideline or endzone.
It’s insulting and I just end up just keeping them or giving them to a deserving family that wants to take kids.

many last year tried to sell their tix not only deducting the tradition fund donations but also below face and still no takers. many ate them last year myself included on a few. I was able to sell some.

traffic, parking(not for me but for others as i had a pass), concessions, some restrooms, piped in music, crap return on investment, joe alleva's ruining gameday etc. plenty who have had tickets for decades have given them up. hardliners who stayed until the end of games like myself and others. until LSU is seriously dedicated to winning at football again
Until the PIM is completely eliminated, this LSU/GBFTL Alum and former "Die-Hard" will not be in the stadium regardless.

That's been there for years. It's why folks leave games at halftime. There's a lack of enthusiasm and a malaise that's existed for years.
Almost all programs have seen a decline in actual attendance. The only thing that changes that is winning at a championship level. If you're in the hunt, interest and attendance will be higher. Other than 2015, LSU has had early season losses (or losses before the halfway mark) that diminish expectations. Couple that with stagnant offenses and it's not great entertainment.

I gave up 7 this season after having them for 30+ years

traffic, parking, commercialization, piped in music, tailgating restrictions, and Eaux. LSU has worked hard and successfully at running quite a few fans off.

and 10k new seats

Watching on flat screen from home. No lines for bathroom, fans who think they are the next coming of saban and bitch the whole game, home cooked food instead of the over priced concessions, not having to deal with drunk idiots outside stadium, parking and traffic flow is a joke, and frick alleva.

I’ll still buy a ticket to 1 maybe 2 games but I’ll get them for a lot less $$$$

One issue that has had an affect on renewals is the change in the tax laws last year. I know a few friends that gave up long held season tickets because of this. Maybe not the only reason, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back for them.

BINGO!

What is down is the scalper/secondary market, where people intentionally buy season tickets with the intent to sell most/some of them to partially cover their costs.

Simple supply and demand. Demand is down because of the increased supply of seats due to the expansion. Cheaper seats available on gameday so less people pay up for the Face Value of the expensive seats. Season ticket holder's selling their seats don't make the same net return or (bigger loss), math doesn't work anymore and get out.

Ive been upgrading every year looking for the perfect 4 seats together. I will say this year when I picked my new seats there was an abundant compared to previous years. I couldn't believe I seen 2 and 4 seats together on the sidelines. The SEZ was scattered with 2-4 tickets together they even had tickets available in the NEZ which I've never seen when its time for me to pick. Anyway, I moved my 4 to the skyline club hoping for a better experience with my son that is 4. But yes, people gave up ALOT of seats this year. FACT.

All these people saying they aren’t buying tickets because of O or because LSU is not committed to winning are full of shite. LSU didn’t win much of anything for 50 years before 2003 and the stands were full. The main culprit is the increasing prices and the changes they made around 2005 that killed tailgating where you can’t park or set up anywhere close to the stadium without a pass. To be honest, going to an LSU game just isn’t as much fun as it was in the past. Combine that with the SEC network allowing me to watch any game I want at home and you have the current situation. The awful out of conference schedule doesn’t help either.

I have had tickets for about 15 years now...at my renewal time (late last week) I looked the stadium over pretty well. It looked to me the number of open seats was about the same that it has always been at this point in the process.

I really hope that a good percentage of the more negative fans will drop their tickets so that people who actually want to attend can get seats.
