That Tech offense put up 80 points against NW. Yes, I understand its northwestern but its still hard to score 80 points in a game. So their offense must at least have a pulse. Our defense shut that shite down.

Chambliss is the best QB in the SEC.
Chambliss was arguably the best QB in the conference LAST YEAR. Let’s see how he does this year without Weis/Kiffin. Think Bill Belichick/Brady. Brady made Bill.

Leavitt will throw for 350+

I hate to be this way but…..
We know this is Bakers kryptonite. We won’t know how godd this defense is until the next two games are done. If Chambliss and especially Reed run wild again, nothing has changed

They are ranked #99 in total defense - worse the Tech.

By my count the only 3rd down conversion the starters have allowed came via penalty
If you're right thats the craziest stat I've seen so far this year. I bet you're right.

Have you seen a qb run against this Defense this season your point is moot.
The Defense is not over pursuing the qb this season, so far.

Kiffin pretty much said it before the season the things that are manifesting now. He was concerned about OL, WR, and defensive depth. All 3 things have reared their ugly head in 2 games. He said it but people weren't paying attention apparently.
That is probably a bit overdramatic. Every team is going to have weaknesses. I agree that even vs. Clemson the OL had its bad moments and the WRs (outside of Watkins) were inconsistent. Then again, Leavitt had his own consistency issues throwing too. I don't know if I would agree with the defensive depth argument. LSU has been rotating a lot of guys with the 1st team and the defense has been dominant. I don't know if I would call 2nd-3rd team guys giving up a score at the end of a blowout reason for great concern.
Unfortunately, we live in a world with constant hyperbole. In most cases reality lies between the extremes. LSU will likely not look as good again as they were vs. Clemson. But it is equally likely the offense isn't as bad as it did in the 1st half vs. Tech.

Ole Miss does not have any advantage in this game other than playing at home.
While I believe LSU blows them out...this just isn't true! Ole Myth has the special teams advantage hands down! Their kicker is 100% better than any other kicker out there!

Add to that the fact that LSU is tied for 1st in opponent 1st downs (16 total)... all of which (excluding penalties) came in the 4th quarter.
Ole Miss is tied for 73rd (37 total).

quote:the stat that leads directly into this is that we are averaging 7.8 yards per play on 1st down. Makes it very manageable to keep drives moving when we have been constantly ahead of the sticks. Ole Miss will not be able to hold us for long if at all if they allow us to get to 3rd and short often.
LSU is 58%. Good for 10th
