After rushing the field in 2001, we were walking to our tailgate on the old golf course and were behind a group of dejected Auburn super fans the entire way. As a result, we just happened to be there when they discovered this.

Haha yeah man I saw that shite. I remember it walking to the game with the big arse tail then seeing that later. Actually it may have been on fire when I passed if I remember correctly.

I can't think of this rivalry without thinking about Fournette trucking the entire back 7 of the Auburn defense

I think that it was a two part burn...in that when I saw it parked at the stadium it looked like the tail of the tiger had already been burned and then put out.

Pictures surfaced in the days following the game showing substantially more damage which made me assume that somebody else came along and finished the job.....as shown in this picture.

I mean that was a pretty bad look for LSU. Not sure why this would be your favorite memory of LSU/Auburn.

After rushing the field in 2001

My Jr year at LSU. Electric atmosphere from the start!! rushing the field, smoking cigars thanks to Tommy Tuberville. That was a great game!

Top 10 most memorable LSU v AU games

"The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 15 but was moved after the Sept.11 terrorist attacks.

Auburn only added more tension to the cigar episode. During the pregame warm-ups, Auburn players stomped on LSU's midfield logo, resulting in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Kicking off from the 50-yard line, LSU recovered the onside kick at the Auburn 36 and scored a touchdown six plays later.

Also, the Auburn special teams began their post-halftime warm-ups while the LSU Marching Band was still performing its halftime routine. Kicker Damon Duval got into a squabble with two band members. Later, Tuberville sent a letter of apology to band leader Frank Wickes for Duval's behavior."
