This is how to win games

If we score more points than our opponents do, we will win. On defense all we have to do is stop the other team from scoring points, and it well help our offense because they won't have to score as many points. What I like about having a strong defense; which we will have undoubtedly, is that they can not only stop other teams from scoring points, but they can score points too. This too helps out the offense, but it also keeps the defense on field longer, so when the offense does get the ball, they need to score methodically and give the defense time to rest. Ultimately though to win games we have to score more points than the other team. #1 way to be successful!

I did find one flaw in your otherwise thorough analysis. Special teams can also score points and prevent the opponent from scoring points, which helps the overall team score more points than the opponent.

True I forgot about that! They can also help the defense too with great punting and kickoffs. Thanks for you're insight!

They can’t score points while your scoring points
You can’t win a game without scoring points.
And if you score a lot of points than your defense can give up a few and it won’t matter because you’ve scored so many.

That is what the fellas do over there in the big 12, from what I've seen they don't have the winning part figured out very well.

Sorry, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s not about scoring more points than your opponent at all. The key is to give up fewer points than your opponent does. That’s the only way you can win.
