You guys do realize that LSU came out in three wide for the first two or three possesions and threw the ball on first down and still struggled. Oline play has got to get better plain and simple.

Too late to teach them to run a different offense effectively. If they try, they fail, and Miles will smugly ask if we liked this offense better than his previous one.

Guttata is right - at this point Miles cannot win for losing - even a 50 point average in the last two games with no stops by the opposing defense would only create criticism that we should have been able to do the same earlier. There will be criticism regardless - there is no tolerance for the fact the we simply didn't match up well with Bama or Ark - or have the depth to play 4 quarter of defense - or have as strong of a running game with the loss of Gordon and Moore the last 2 games. LSU is the greatest, most talented, and deepest team in the country and should be able to adjust and overcome any obstacles - we only beat ourselves with our ignorant hard-headed coach.

I don't think the we should change everything on the offense against Ole Miss. They are a different team from Bama.

Our problem is we never cater the game plan to the opponent.

LSU's offensive issues aren't simply about running an i-formation power game versus a spread game. The issues for LSU isn't even entirely on the limited number of plays they run. It's the predictability in how they run it.

You don't have to revamp an offense entirely to make it functional. I like LSU running a pro-style offense. Hell Bama won it's recent 3 NCs running pro-style offenses, not spreads. Last year they ran a spread/pro-style mix and while they won the SEC, it was inconsistent offense that doomed them.

The problem with Les is he thinks his team will impose its will on the opponent, no matter who they are, and that even if they know what is coming it won't matter. The fact is that if they mix things up in playcalling with a few creative wrinkles thrown in here and there, the offense would work extremely well.

Instead though, they run the same predictable offense with at most 2 options coming out of a specific formation making it extremely easy to defend. There in lies LSU's issues under Les and why Bama has been so dominant against them. No creativity in playcalling. When the options are only fades/fly patters or runs, the it is pretty easy to figure out.

We saw a diff offense last Saturday. I want LSU to stop getting pushed around and get back to running the ball, that's how you win.

It's never to late, but the timing has to be right. I personally think at the end of this year he needs to go, but even if he loses out I don't think he gets the axe.

you are being absurd here man. your excuses for getting beat aganinst bama and arky are one thing but to get MANHANDLED on both sides of the line is a different story. if we win the the last two games with a 50 point average i'll believe you. somehow, I think i'm safe.

That's actually not what LSU did against Arky, and still lost.

No, we will either dive it up the middle or give Harris a NFL throw to make

He cares. Alot. Don't dismiss his character, a-hole.

It doesn't matter. We could come out in a full spread and win about 52-20 the last three games, but we'd be right back to the 15 passes a game, ground and pound BS until Bama beats our arse again next season.

I think it's possible Miles might adjust a bit to save his job, but he'd fall back into his old ways. ALWAYS DOES!!!

It depends on what you mean by "different".

In a general way, I think we did see different things on O vs. Arkansas.

Brandon Harris attempted (and completed) more passes against Arkansas than in any other game this year.

Pass protection was an issue vs. the Razorbacks, and it wasn't just the tackles. Ethan Pocic had some trouble with the Arkansas DTs. There was a play in the first half where Bijhon Jackson put Pocic on his back in the pocket. I don't know how Pocic didn't get penalized on that play. Harris was able to avoid the pressure, but the the throw was a little off, and Darrel Williams wasn't able to make the catch.

Unfortunately I think this is correct. I remember being foolish enough to think the A&M gameplan was a sign of things to come. I turned a blind eye to the fact that A&M D was horrific and our gameplan was a direct result of the debacle against Arkansas.
