No. Les and Cam have no clue. They found something the end of the first half and beginning of the second, then completely got away from it and went back to what was not working. Makes no sense.

I think what will happen is either:

1) Miles does try something different but abandons the plan the first time something doesn't work and reverts back what we all know and loathe, allowing Ole Miss to control the game and ultimately win.

2) Miles does try something different and it does work, but he abandons it the second we get a "comfortable" lead allowing Ole Miss back in the game to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm not sure which would anger me more.

I think even if they do spread it out, it obviously wont be as good as most teams.

They've been running the Miles ground pound for years, and practiced it all offseason and preseason, and for the first 7 games this season.

To change more than halfway through the season to a completely different offense is bound to have lots of issues.

If they really want success then they'll start implementing this shite day 1 of offseason...hell....in the bowl preparations because Harris is still going to be here next season.

It takes time and reps. Harris was lucky to throw it more than 15 times in a single game the first 4-5 games of this year......thats such a small amount of throws. It probably feels like he barely throws over the course of a game if he ends up with only that many passes.

From LSU? Not at all. OM? Maybe.

At this point it seems like we're throwing plays at the wall and hope they stick.

Sort of like Miles's recruiting of QBs. Remember that several times he has signed both a dual threat-type guy and a pocket passer in the same class. What sense does that make? It seems to indicate that he's not completely sure what type of QB he wants running the offense.

les miles philosophy is based on 2 tenants.

1) run heavy offense that does not commit turnovers
thus limited passing because of avg. qb play

2)strong defense that holds opponents to under 17 pts. a game

we are missing the strong defense more that we are missing a potent offense. ex. we took bama to ot last year scoring less than 2 tds.

If there is a much different offense, I worry about the following:

Timing
Crispness

You can't just overhaul in one week and not expect these issues to show up. That is what basically happened last week.

I think you'll see more designed qb runs and 2 running backs in the backfield

All of this just did not happen overnight. Just like a cancer it has been growing for sometime. We all saw the symptoms. Many recognized these symptoms and many choose to ignore. Question is what is Doctor Alleva going to do. Let it grow until it consumes the entire program or lop off the problem now.

Based on this medical opinion, theres a lot of cancer in the SEC. Dr AD is a about to be a very busy man. Who doesnt have the symptoms u speak of?

Well we came out 3 and 4 wide against Arky when everyone said we wouldn't and that Les wouldn't change...and that still didn't work out very well.

So all the people saying that Les nevers changes are just being purposely dishonest or don't actually watch the games

Changing to something that you're not is worse than not changing at all. Analogy would be chip kelly all of the sudden installing the power I in one week...it would be an epic fail. Same here...Cam Cameron (although he may like to believe he can) does not understand how to teach the spread...thus the spread itself will not be successful. The spread isn't something that works just because of formation. It has to be implemented over months/years to work to design....The thought process by our coaches is just plain retarded. They're like a bunch of sixth graders.

People should probably be prepared for one of the most run heavy gameplans of the season this week, imo.
Whatever it takes to keep the LSU D vs OM O off the field is what I want to see.

Les thinks we opened it up too much last week v Arky.

It's LF7 all day v Ole Miss.

Based on the presser, it seemed like years of frustration on he offense finally resonated with Miles. Wonder if we see Harris outside he pocket more, with some read options etc.

You gotta think Mikes feels the heat and this game is pretty huge for him personally. I think it'll be interesting to see. Hopefully LSU surprises OM.

Miles said he didn't like the plan last Saturday.

Last Saturday had a lot more spread and shotgun than we are used to seeing.

The only real logical leap to make here is that we will see almost exclusively i-formation.

I hope they go back to ground and pound. This oline clearly can't pass block in obvious passing situations.

I think we will continue to see the fade pass thrown into the end zone when it's 3rd and 9 after two runs up the middle.
