As far as Mike ever going to games again, vent if it makes y'all feel better, but that ship has sailed and it's not coming back. We're very fortunate to have a live mascot at all, and the only way we're going to keep him is by not doing things like pulling him around in a trailer at games.
Mike is a live mascot and lives in an upscale environment. the earlier mascots did not have such luxury.

the earlier mascots never complained about the environment they lived in.
real, live, wild animals and not one of them was as big a pussy as you.

if you look close everybody in that section is wearing pajamas. Freshmen had to wear them to the first football game, and that was the mildest thing that was done to them. Freshmen had the shite hazed out of them, and not just the ones in fraternities.
Correct. Some of them seem to be wearing beanies on their shaved heads as well. Two more items of discomfort for freshmen in those days. Add compulsory ROTC drill every Thursday and compulsory Saturday morning classes and you see what we submitted ourselves to for that II-S.

At the student section the cheerleaders used to put a microphone at the cage and aggrivate Mike until he roared. We'd go nuts. This went on when the students were just about the only ones in the stadium. Anyone with a "valid" LSU student ID was admitted into the student section; we'd line up, save places and run beer resupplies around 1:00 for a 7:30 game. Game would be over in time for us to watch the 10:15 sports news in the dorm's lobby. ...simpler times.

when I was there, Mike's vet school handlers supposedly would give him speed before they brought him into the stadium

There is plenty of reason not to if he doesn’t like it.

Typical conservabitch attitude. “As long as I’m getting what I want, to hell with the consequences to others around me”.

That's what did it. They had the previous Mike in the stadium when they set them off and he freaked the frick out. Wouldn't get in the trailer after that.

I'd like to find the genius that thought it was a good idea and kick their arse.

Doing what's in the best interest of our beloved live mascot is a libtard move.

LSU should have never listened to that b- Carole Baskin
quote:

"Taking them into an arena of screaming fans and exposing a big cat to all of that chaos is just cruel, in my opinion," said Carole Baskin, the founder CEO of Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. "I'm very glad they're not doing that. I think it still sends the wrong message to keep a cat in a glass case just to say you have one, but it's a whole lot better than what they had."

Not the Athletic Dept.
Not the fans.
Not protesters.

which is so fricking stupid and illogical. Having mike ride around for 25 minutes of his life is nothing compared to what we do to other animals

You think it’s in the best interest of the cow to fricking eat it?

You think it’s in the best interest of a dog to leave it alone for 8 hours a day while we go to work?

Etc etc

It’s amazing we have drawn that line with having a tiger ride around for 25 minutes 8 times a year
