There was nothing better than them getting Mike to roar in the mic before a game. It was our battle cry. A shame it’s gone.

Before tiger awareness it was awesome to see the opposing team come out next to the tiger. Changed their mind set for a minute.

Man, as much as I hate that the tradition died I completely understand why they don't put Mike in the cage and parade him around the stadium anymore. It has to be sensory overload and very stressful on the animal with or without the stupid fireworks.
I wish at the very least about 15 minutes before the team runs out the tunnel LSU could show old footage of Mike going a round the stadium in his cage on the big screens as a tribute to one of the greatest traditions in college football.

Charles Dupuy in the tiger suit, I believe. I was in the band. Pretty sure that's the game we lost like 17-12 to Nebraska. They were definitely a powerhouse back then.
