So many quitters and guys in the portal, shows how much they think about their teammates. That starts at the top. Orgeron really gave up last year, packed it in, and said frick it. frick him for letting it get to this point and be so ready to get his buyout. He knew all along that he wasn’t qualified for the job and was amazed he was hired knowing that he would hit the Lottery if fired.

There was no team it was all about "me". That is why the back ups were performing so well.

It had gotten to such a state of decay that we were getting 5 stars players that were “injured” for 3 years and then magically healed and ready to roll for the NFL

Stingley was the biggest disappointment. How could he devolve from the stellar star of 2019 to a shell in only one season? Was he that badly hurt?

It seemed like the team disintegrated after Burrow, Brady and the championship trophy. It was uncanny and weird.

It's no mystery. Burrow was the discipline of the team.

We had a coach who would hit himself in the head and rip off his shirt. Just think about that.

Burrow and a few others built the teams and held it together

How many times did we hear Herbstreit and other talking heads on gameday asking if LSU would come out to play or if they would quit mid season. It was no secret that there was a serious internal problem after the 2019 leaders left. A player friendly coach who lacks self discipline leads to lack of team discipline and this toxic mess.

O sure didn't help things but honestly this started in the second half of Miles' tenure as HC.

It was time for him to go for sure, but it's hard for me to lay all the blame on Ed just because he did what Ed does and what Ed has always done.

I blame Alleva far more than Ed.

In another post about CBK having his first team meeting, someone pointed out that Max was sitting alone and questioned it.

Toxic and no team leadership were my thoughts with the above comment.

Prob didn’t help when Max was having a pretty good season and still getting shite on by the fans all year.

I wish Max good luck. He made the best out of a bad situation all year.

Think about this, our team played their best both of the last two years when all of the so called "best players" on the team were done for the year due to whatever various reasons. I'm not trying to shite on any one player or group of players with this post, but it's obvious that LSU football is better off fielding players that are committed to playing for LSU and the teammates around them rather than for themselves or the NFL.

Not to say we need to start spurning players with NFL aspirations, but more of we need to get more players in here that want to play for LSU and not just come in here and half arse it just because they know LSU is a free ride to the NFL like our previous regime advertised it to be. You gotta earn it, it's not just given to you. And I think Kelly is going to get it right and set the record straight.

Max is a mediocre QB at best. Max was responsible for LSU losing to Bama and Auburn. He and his Dad both think Max is better than he actually is.

Orgeron gave up on the team after 2019. He got a divorce and a huge payday and started chasing tail. The team was a very distant concern for O at that point.LSU had s staff of “hangers on” who also quit.
The entire toxic culture was created by Orgeron and many of the LSU Players were all about just themselves. Stingley ang Ricks are at the head of that class.

The Secondary was horrible but to some LSU fans Cory Raymond is somehow not responsible for all the confusion and the “Chinese Firedrill” mentality on display in the Secondary.

The team was more concerned with their Individual situations and Parading around the LSU campus for BLM than their responsibilities to the LSU Football Program. That type of player needs to get out and go bring their “The World Owes Me” attitude to their new team. Good bye and good riddance.

Coach Kelly is cleaning house and it needed to be cleaned badly.

The reason it was "pretty good" was because he was only a pretty good passer.

We needed better and he couldn't get there. Pocket presence as bad as I've seen

Raymond, while an incredible recruiter and decent DB coach, was the one who orchestrated the division in the locker room during the covid season.

Kelly letting him leave confirms the rumors of this, IMO.

Either way,
