Do I want this, no. But it's only a matter of time before a super conference is formed and the SEC is obsolete.

This.

There's a Pete Thamel tweet that says, "The SEC is not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the seriousness of the league as it attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules"

EDIT: Just read a Pete Thamel Tweet. More legal BS to threaten the action.

Shows how corrupt SEC was over the past 50 years.

at this point, I think it has more to do with Sankey's bruised ego.

Absolutely part of the equation. No doubt he didn't like looking like a kindergartener on the stand in Baton Rouge.

Wonder if they're also worried because Lane knows where the bodies are buried?

LSU needs to skullfrick everyone in the league and make that smug piece of shite Sankey hand over the trophy to Lane at the end of it.

So Lane keeps the “pro” players off the roster and Sankey still wants to expel them? He’s just butt hurt

Part of me wonders if this has to do with basketball too. Trying to get RJ Luis eligible and bringing over a ton of Euro Pros. Add to it that we possible contacted guys in NFL training camps and told them to sue the SEC and NCAA for eligibility.

I am fine with LSU doingwhat it has to within the obscure rules to win but stretching the rules to the extent that we seem to be stretching them looks to have rubbed the higher ups the wrong way. I think the SEC is just making a huge show of this to stop LSU and anyone else from tearing the whole system down. LSU's boldness has made us the scapegoat.

I wonder how much they could actually prove in court? I feel like this is all a big bluff to show they are serious and like it or not, we will probably get slapped on the wrist.

Maybe this is unpopular but I am OK with this. We need to have enforceable rules in college football. I am clearly not OK with them kicking us out when we haven't actually broken any rules though. But trying to get control is ok with me.

Let the SEC vote us out of the conference with Ole Miss voting to do so and see how much of an arse raping they get by LSU on the 19th.

Ole Miss knows they are going to lose. Now they are trying to make it so it's not a conference loss.

If this vote fails, Sankey has to be out as commissioner, right?

I think everyone would be on board with enforcing these things, if it were applied unilaterally. Picking our cases to cause a stink over while ignoring all the others is the reason people are like wtf is this bullshite

If they don't vote LSU out Sankey will be asked to fall on his sword. That's how this works now

They would not have the meeting if they did not have the votes. What a circus.
