They won’t meet if they don’t have the votes,that would really embarrass the SEC.LSU is the talk of college football because of this and Saturday nights performance,let’s see how the espn execs feel about this.Love to be a fly on the wall when Sankey gets that call.

The lady Chancellor at Univ Tennessee is the instigator who contacted Sankey & started this whole thing. She told Sankey to hold this special meeting to expel LSU from SEC. She is also President of SEC's executive committee and hates/despises LSU.

They won't have it go into effect before the end of the season. LSU, the state of Louisiana, and every player on the team will sue the SEC into non-existence. If it goes through, you can bet the other P4 will be courting LSU hard.

The Alabama dude had college eligibility, decided to forego it and signed an NBA contract....and the SEC, while not happy, certainly never threatened to kick Bama out of the SEC, and ultimately, just followed the court order.
I'm no expert in law, but I wonder how that precedent the SEC set would play in this current situation.

Additionally, I think there is easily a MUCH. more logical case that what Chambliss did was infinitely more egregious, not even close.
Chambliss used a judge to get a court order to allow him to play an extra year for a year that he was not injured or sick, per the school that he played for. Ferris St stated directly he was benched due to "coaches decision" and he needed "development."
Even if you agree that the current LSU players should not play since they signed an NFL contract, at the very least you can concede they were put in a shitty spot and got screwed due to the NCAA's incompetence of when they made the announcement. For Chambliss, there was no gray area or weird NCAA thing that people could point to to feel like he got caught up in the middle of something, he simply got a judge who wanted his autograph after the hearing to sign a piece of paper to allow him to play despite there being zero evidence of him being anything other than not good enough to play that season.
