In 6 quarters vs Baker, Reed has accounted for 452 yards on 45 plays, (10.4 ypp) and 7TDs. Doesn’t matter if his name isn’t Chambliss he’s destroyed Baker’s soft arse at a more efficient clip.

A lot of black pilling but we’re fine. I think we handle ATM but until he proves otherwise there’s no evidence to show that Baker has answered the question that’s been asked all off season which is “can he defend the duel threat QB?” Doesn’t mean we won’t win but for us to maximize our potential he has to be better.

Elko is still a solid coach. I wouldn’t overlook this team simply for losing to Kentucky. I think they’re a formidable opponent.

I don’t think anyone is calling for Joe Lee Dunn type of blitzing insanity. I think mostly people like the creativity and zone blitzes we saw vs Clemson and a lot of people prefer our defenses when we’re man to man centric. What they don’t want is 10 yards of cushion, conceding easy throws and not applying any pressure because you’re scared of giving up a big play especially when nobody’s got behind your secondary yet this season.

We should never run that game-plan again. If you’re going to run that zone with that much cushion you better pressure the quarterback back. If you need to spy then do it but send more than 4 and be multiple. Keep the QB worried about the pass rush and the zone can work. Don’t pressure and you’re down 17 plus pts at the half.
Blake Baker deserves all the criticism associated with losing this game and I for one am concerned about playing any QB with a pulse as a result. The shameful mess of having the players but lacking the X’s & O’s is something that should drive all LSU fans nuts. We have seen enough of this BS.

Anything to not blame Baker because they have their scapegoat picked out for this season so everything must be manipulated to reflect that. 24-7? That’s probably the QBs fault somehow.

They lost several OL to the NFL. Their run game isnt as good so far this season, and even with a good and experienced OC in the past Reed needed the defense to overcommit to stopping the run.
Elko did a bad job at replacing the OC after last year’s became a head coach and at replacing the OL guys drafted. A&M needed to bring in competition even if that meant Reed transferred. They would have been better off as they also could have hired a good and experienced OC.
Instead A&M kissed Reed’s arse, kept same playbook even though that meant promoting the WR coach as the OC with ZERO OC experience in over 20 years of coaching, and pumped Reed up during the off season almost like LSU did with Jordan Jefferson before the 2011 season. Reed hasn’t gotten arrested, but he has gained the false sense that he is much better than he is. There is a difference between building confidence and creating arrogance. A&M created arrogance with Reed.
Throw in the now apparent OL problems and the defense being worse they will be lucky to finish with a winning record.
If LSU doesn’t beat A&M this year there are much bigger problems with this team than we know.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! You DO NOT give free throws to a QB who is not a good passer. He is not close to the passer Chambliss is but that is even more reason not to give free access throws. Playing that far off will be picked apart by any QB. They have good receivers, need to play tighter coverage. He will struggle to fit the ball in.
