In 6 quarters vs Baker, Reed has accounted for 452 yards on 45 plays, (10.4 ypp) and 7TDs. Doesn’t matter if his name isn’t Chambliss he’s destroyed Baker’s soft arse at a more efficient clip.

A lot of black pilling but we’re fine. I think we handle ATM but until he proves otherwise there’s no evidence to show that Baker has answered the question that’s been asked all off season which is “can he defend the duel threat QB?” Doesn’t mean we won’t win but for us to maximize our potential he has to be better.

Elko is still a solid coach. I wouldn’t overlook this team simply for losing to Kentucky. I think they’re a formidable opponent.

I don’t think anyone is calling for Joe Lee Dunn type of blitzing insanity. I think mostly people like the creativity and zone blitzes we saw vs Clemson and a lot of people prefer our defenses when we’re man to man centric. What they don’t want is 10 yards of cushion, conceding easy throws and not applying any pressure because you’re scared of giving up a big play especially when nobody’s got behind your secondary yet this season.

We should never run that game-plan again. If you’re going to run that zone with that much cushion you better pressure the quarterback back. If you need to spy then do it but send more than 4 and be multiple. Keep the QB worried about the pass rush and the zone can work. Don’t pressure and you’re down 17 plus pts at the half.
Blake Baker deserves all the criticism associated with losing this game and I for one am concerned about playing any QB with a pulse as a result. The shameful mess of having the players but lacking the X’s & O’s is something that should drive all LSU fans nuts. We have seen enough of this BS.
