re: The criticism of Coach E, is it based on the lack of game time adjustments?

Your argument for keeping E is that we would have been 8-2 if we had one of the best QB's of all time on our roster??

My biggest criticism is this belief that he's NOT running the offense. People blame Linehan for 3rd downs and in the redzone...
Why isn't Ensminger calling those plays?

No I’m fine with a change. Just pointing out that great players make play calling easier and one that may look mundane with a freshman qb look like the perfect call for a player like Burrow.

There are just too many ugly parts of our offense to ignore.

61st in Passing Yard Per Attempt.
79th in Yards per play
107th in Rushinf Offense
102nd on 3rd down
104th in Red Zone TD%

To be so bad in 2018 so good in 2019 and then so bad again in 2020 in the redzone and on 3rd down makes it pretty clear that E can’t do those things.

We also pad our stars against really bad defenses. E is good enough to run up the score on a terrible Ole Miss/Vandy/ USCe defense but we scored 7, 17 and 11 vs the only top 50 defenses we played thisnyear. We didn’t play a defense ranked higher than 20th.

This is the dumbest and poorest thought out thread I have seen in a while.

No spring ball
90% of prior yr prod lost
New RBs
New OL
2 HS QBs started 7 games and won 4
If defense could have gotten off the field we would have been in Top 3-4 offense in SEC.

Playcalling? You cant call what they cant fricking run. We played OM with the 4&5 RBs, new TE, and substituted OL

WTF were your expectations? We finished in Top third of conference on O. D was almost dead last.

I'm just concerned that the rush to get rid of E that we end up with someone worse.

this has been a thing since he took over as the OC

He is a good coach and play caller...no matter what the retards say. His teams don't turn the ball over either

The defense gave the offense 6 turnovers vs miss st & mizzou & they still couldn’t get it done

5-27 on 3rd down in those games lol

When Jon emery was the best player on the field vs Vandy, why did he barely touch the ball the next game ?

It doesn’t matter what you lose on offense. You can’t put up essentially 7 points on the three best defenses we face.

Which is what happened this year against Auburn, Am, and Bama. 35 total points is bad enough. But really only one TD against Bama happened when the games were competitive. That just won’t get it done in the SEC in 2020.

He had no plays designed to his strengths

Just trying to nail down the criticism

As your stats point out, Ensminger did great in 2018, 2019, and 2020. This isn't about Ensminger; it's about Orgeron feeding the fans in order to keep them from eating him.

LofrickingL.

Without Joe Brady, in two years E put up 17 points against Bama, 35 points against AM(not counting OT) and 33 points against Auburn.

That’s an average of 14 points a game, and it counts garbage time scores in the games this year.

Why did Les get fired? Bc he couldn’t win the big games. Couldn’t perform against elite competition. Against the three most talented defensive rosters we face on a yearly basis, E has failed to deliver even one dominant performance in six attempts.

Manufactured plays in space

Specifically, plays outside the tackle box where he was really good this year

Ensminger didn't want to be the OC in the first place, but took the role because he is a good soldier. He wants and has always wanted to be a position coach.

The team is trying to get a fresh start at both coordinator positions. People were confused at first with Brady's role, but it worked, so people just rolled with it. We tried to do it again with Linehan and it didn't work out. It is a very unorthodox system to try to implement. We tried it before with the co-DC failure.

Most top offensive minds are not going to come in and be an associate OC. If we want a chance at the best out there, we need to make the job as presentable as possible. That means Steve steps back into a role he is comfortable with and we get a guy who can establish his system.

Ensminger was an ok OC. He didn't want the job. We are trying to find a true replacement.

For me it's his 3rd down conversion and red zone scoring.

There is a reason Brady called ‘only those plays’ last year.

At some point you have to realize it was not the X's and O's but it was the Jimmies and the Joes that were the problem.

Do you think Saban and Sarkesian do any better with this bunch of players that are left?
