re: Little Rock deserved to win tonight

They handled garbage pitching exactly how it's taught. Didn't chase and rarely expanded the zone. Most of their hits were in the clutch. If this same team shows up tomorrow night and we're dog shite at timely hitting along with sub par pitching, LR will be playing their super in WV.

BUT anybody with a good, sound mind knows Torina is not a championship caliber coach. She is what she is, and LSU Softball is pretty much stuck with her.
I'm not saying you're wrong but check out next year's recruiting class.

I said that our WR corps was in trouble if Kyren Lacy is the #1 WR, and that has proven correct so far. That guy shouldn’t be higher than 3 or 4 in the pecking order at WR on an SEC roster.
Don't be surprised to see him balling in the league. He may be our most talented WR.
re: Does anyone here REALLY think LSU is a Top 10 team?

As of today, we are not a top 10 team and haven't played like one. Saturday will move the needle one way or the other, no matter the score.
re: For those saying, “LSU and Brian Kelly can’t recruit…”

It's not that he can't recruit. It just doesn't seem like we are close as a program in recruiting to being able to put together an elite class. BK is right on par with the classes he had at ND. Were they good? Yes. Were they elite? No
I assumed it would get easier for him to land elite players here when he was hired. Hasn't been the case. Solid coach though.
The competition for recruiting in the SEC is only going to get tougher.

re: Culotta says House is going to be retained. Def. position coaches to change

I've had this feeling all season that BK has been putting the perception out there that we just don't have the guys to compete on the defensive side. Never, ever blames the scheme or staff in any way.
If this is what ends up happening then I'll choose, at least for next year, to trust BK's evaluation. We are weak at every level of the defense from a technique, strength, and athleticism standpoint. We shouldn't be but we are. It will get a little better next year but we're still at least 2 years away from having anything close to a championship defense, regardless of coach or scheme. IMO! I think there will be definitely be position coach changes that will factor recruiting abilities as well.
We could very well be hoping the same fate for Denbrock this year had we not had a stout O-line and Heisman favorite QB that has taken over games countless times.
If House goes, great. If he doesn't, then trust what our coach knows that others don't.

I mean, it’s not surprising if true. We have a football team with only a few locked in as starters. And that’s not just coach speak.

Or he's feeling the nerves too and didn't think it would get to this point.
But after the Saturday night finish and the likelihood of that happening, I'll keep the faith.

The kind from our very reliable inside sources that Jimbo was getting ? Let me know when we get to our 5th/6th choice.

We all are not disagreeing with you but i'm sure you've watched the first 8 games. The real time release usually comes after the high % release moment when a receiver is best positioned unless it's a single designed route such as a fade or quick slant. Any call where he has to go through his progressions is usually late.
He's just not there yet and maybe never will be.

It seems whoever wrote this needs some adult supervision. True or not, this is petty clickbait.
re: So is Marcel Brooks headed back to LSU or not?
Posted by UntamedTig3r on 10/15/21 at 11:53 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
He would have little impact with this defense in my opinion. His speed was able to be better utilized in the 3-4 and surrounded by LBs and linemen who knew their assignments.

If we hire good replacements …
As for our 2020 coordinator hires, I think a lot of Peetz’s stank arse play calling would be masked while he gains experience if we could run the ball. As for our DC, nothing good should be expected when you’re the 4th choice.
LSU was competing with other big time programs for the top DC names out there. We lost. To me that is as intriguing as the hire itself. How and why did that happen? Could be timing, could be for reasons that had nothing to do with money, job security concerns maybe, who knows?
re: Does Moffitt deserve any blame for LSU players dropping like flies?
Posted by UntamedTig3r on 10/15/21 at 9:29 pm to TigerFan244
No doubt he does. And definitely in strength also regarding our trench players.
How do our linemen typically perform in the strength portion of the combine? They rarely impress.

re: Mel Tucker anyone? Might LSU go back to where we had previous success?

A name I have not seen who I wouldn't be mad about is Herm Edwards. He seems to get the most out of his players at Az St.
Not suggesting at all he be the front runner or anything but should be on the list.

Urban will stay on his aspirin and make the best out of this team in Jacksonville.
This is the reason he accepted the Jaguars. They're a team no one fears, his project here is to change that. And he will, if he sticks around long enough.
