The Coaching Flip Advantage

Ok so who has the advantage? Pete knowing Charlie & Lane's tendencies, and what they don't like to see? Or, Lane & Charlie's insider knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of Chambliss, and really their entire team.

Gonna give the nod to Lane and Charlie. I think their chemistry overrides the two clowns from OM.

Some of the TV commentators have said this offense Lane & Charlie are running at LSU is different from the one he ran at OM.

I think Lane knows the Ole Miss players better than Pete knows LSUs.

Considering Kiffin and Charlie are better offensive minds than Pete is defensive, coupled with the knowledge of almost the whole team I would say advantage LSU.

I think the biggest advantage will always be our defense in this game. We only gave up 24 points to them last year. One of those TD's came on a drive after a late hit on the QB on 3rd down which would have ended the drive and given us good field position.
Our defense is better than it was last year. Their offense is worse than it was last year. Our offense is better than it was last and their defense is worse than it was last year. In every possible way we got better and they got worse. I just do not see us losing this game, They may score 13 but I just do not see them scoring more than they did last year and there is no way we score less than we did last year.

Alright a lot to unpack here. Yes we are better as a whole defensively and at almost every position except 1. CB. Delane was on a different level, I love our CBs but neither are on the level that Delane was. Also, their offense wasn't anywhere close to where their offense was at the end of the season. That was only the 3rd start for Chambliss.
He is better than when we faced him last year. Deuce is an extremely dangerous receiver and Lacy is still in the backfield. The two key matchups are still Ole Miss tackles vs our edge rushers and their receivers vs our CBs.

It’s not the coaches being familiar with each other, it’s our coaches being familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of their players.

The matchup I am most worried about is us against the ole miss biased refs. My fear is that they have been instructed to kill any big plays that go our way and let ole miss get away with essentially everything. They will at least keep the score close, I think.
This is the first real chance Sankey has to get back at LSU for the pro player issues and I think he is going to take it.
My hope is that, if that happens, Sankey will not try to tip the scales against LSU for the remainder of the season.

I agree, not having Delane is a big downgrade. However last year we were able to get very little to no pressure on Chambliss, this year should be very different in that regard which should take pressure off out DB's.
Deuce is a very good receiver but they also lost Cayden Lee and Stribling from last year and did not really replace them with anyone of equal talent except for Deuce.
There's a lot of should's but if our d-line gets after it like they have the last two weeks, I just don't see many points coming from their offense.
I am very afraid of the turnovers from Leavitt, his misses are high and behind the receiver which is terrifying going across the middle in SEC play. Hopefully we are able to scheme and get those mistakes taken care of.

According to Kiffin, Pete has the advantage because of the coordinator to head coach relationship.
He drew parallels to Ole Miss hanging 48 on Bama in his first year at Ole Miss (2020) because Lane spent three years hearing Saban complain about what was giving his defenses problems in practice.

Which is why the matchup with Ole Miss tackles vs our edge rushers is one of the keys. If they can keep Chambliss clean it can be a long day.

Just looked at the box score from that game.
That day Kiffin was 4 for 4 going for it on 4th and no turnovers. Corral went 21-28 for 365 and 2td. Ole Miss as a team ran the ball 57 times for 268 and 4td
Najee ran for 206yds and 5tds
