He likes to do his own shite. Why should a crazy cajun try to meddle with it when Canada has had immense success elsewhere?
He said in his first press conference he was going to let his cordinators do their job. He's not letting Canada do that. O has a completely different philosophy and is meddling into the offense too much.

That said, I still dont think that Canada's offense is cut out for the SEC.

Yep.I am at a loss to describe what I see on the field.

Supposedly, Canada was adaptable. He would take whatever talent was on hand and mold it into a functioning offense.

I don't think Canada can be as inept as we see now and had been as successful as he was as prior stops.

Not sure what happened to the whole "Air Canada" thing. We completed one pass in the first Q.

Nope, Canada is more ball control, run base with short passing game. O likes the deep ball.

This has been the staple of this anemic offense for years and it's infuriating. Ground and pound or go for the long ball. Nothing in between.

I don't think Canada was a misfire. I think O is the misfire. If all the "rumors" are true, Canada isn't being allowed to run his offense the way he'd like.

Wasn't O supposed to be nothing more than a supervisor? Wasn't he supposed to let his coaches coach? Wasn't that the main selling point for hiring him in the first place?

I've gone back and looked at some of the Pitt games from last year. The offense LSU is putting on the field is damn near unrecognizable.

Oh, and Pitt's oline was terrible last year. Good play calling and coaching made up for a lot.

Maybe there is a lot of truth to the fact that lsu is short on talent at critical positions and that what we have is young in those positions...or the backups are young. I don't like the fact that some of the players are half assing it as well. Put their arse on the bench, I don't care how much talent they have.

But it is kind of silly on your part to call o dumber than a potato. The guy just orchestrated a multi million dollar deal for himself.

I have to admit, he knows how to play the good ole corrupt Louisiana politics game. He's a sorry excuse of a head coach, though. He may know how to play the game, but he is clueless when it comes to coaching.

Bs. The Canada offense has sucked from the get go. O has failed, but so has Canada.

Is this the same offense that Canada ran at Pitt? I haven't watched much of their games from last year...just the Clemson game.

Not even close. The shifts, the play calls, the movement, the rhythm - it all made sense. This looks like a hybrid of LesCam & Canada. When Brennan runs the O that's closer to the actual Canada offense. Brennan can run the motions and you can see the defense trying to adjust.

Canada didn't just show up here and forget how to coach offense. Either our players aren't as good as we thought or he's been handcuffed.

I think it also speaks volumes on how we've recruited the QB position. Or we've been without a QB coach for so long that the learning curve is a lot steeper with our guys, regardless of talent.

^ This. It's possible that Canada isn't the savior we all made him out to be, BUT there is something else going on. I refuse to believe that he would be handcuffing the offense this much if he had full autonomy. Orgeron must be in his ear (just like Les dicked around with the offense).

isn't this what's maddening about the whole thing? You went in and pitched that you're a glorified mascot and our AD bought into it? He didn't ask "well hey just what in the frick am I going to pay you 4million dollars a year for then?" Nope he bought it

Lol....you guys kill me. Players that make millions can be dumbasses but are highly talented. Coaches need at least to have a brain or two, especially coaches that'll end up making 20 times what you will in a lifetime. Ole miss hired him, usc named him interim coach....he isn't a dumbass.

O, Aranda and Canada will fix it.
It takes time to build EXPERIENCE, which we lack in many positions.

I think we have a lot of inexperienced guys playing, yet we did not lose the game because of that...
3 times we gave up the ball....and their coach used the rules to score the 3 pt winning difference.
