frick all of those teams. I have zero desire to go to any of those road games. OM is probably the best of the bunch but it has zero amenities near Oxford.

Tuscaloosa has a great setup with their bars all on the same street. There are some pretty lakes in that area too.

Out of those, I've only been to Bama. Maybe it's just me, but the Gumps who actually go to the games are much better than the sidewalk fans.

That’s only three of nine games annually. Plenty travel options

I see nothing online about this.

Link?

That is all speculation. They haven't even decided on an 8 or 9-game format. The 8-game format has one permanent opponent.

So let's wait and see who it is before we start a collective whine-fest.

@RossDellenger

As the SEC moves closer to a 9-game scheduling format, Nick Saban tells @SINow that Alabama’s proposed three permanent opponents should be more balanced.

“They’re giving us Tennessee, Auburn and LSU. I don’t know how they come to that.”

So I think at least Alabama is "confirmed".

yeah but everyone in the universe trying to cram themselves in there leaves a lot of great spaces to tailgate elsewhere

They are salty now that Tennessee is suddenly on an upward trajectory.

If they want it more balanced, then they have to give up Tennessee. Having Auburn and Tennessee as top rivals should not exempt them from being paired with another top 5 program.

Our fan base doesn’t have a very good comprehension of the English language. It’s a proposal.

This was an obvious outcome and exactly how it should be.

I'm ok with this
If we can't have Fla as permanent Bama is next big one I would hate to lose
Ole Miss has a lot of old history to it as well
And Aggies and LSU are natural rivalries due to proximity

I'm just glad we kept two historical SEC teams and it's not only former Big 12 teams

Bye Bye Boot trophy

I bet this info was leaked to Dellinger on purpose to kind of gauge the overall SEC reaction, than you can start coming up with the actual plan and get the wheels in motion. You might see a couple of tweaks and Bama may get it's way and maybe they finally break up the Tenn/Bama monopoly.
If I'm Bama I would want to play in LA every other year for recruiting purposes.

another key will be how your rotations are set up

Would've preferred UT, OU, or an Eastern Division Team. It's new and fresh, and not a forced " tv rivalry " that doesn't exist.
