Lot of truth in that thread. The Aggie fans certainly have come to grips with the reality.

Watched that several times and honestly seems like the dude stumbled over his words a bit but whatever. The media was arse hurt LSU took an elite coach from their darling ND in the midst of a playoff season so they were lookin for **** to discredit the guy's accomplishments as a coach. His results continue to speak for themselves

Meanwhile we are now 3-7 in year 5. With a top 5 roster in America. And a coach who we can't afford to fire

Keep laughing bc EVERYONE is laughing at us. EVERYONE

We've literally won nothing since 1939.

LSU is going play for another SEC title in Kelly's first year. A season in which he has like 70 scholarship players. A season for which they were picked to finish last in the west.

We are 3-7. Preseason top 6. Best incoming class of all time. 3-7. And lucky to not be 2-8.

Still laughing ?

Jimbo is the perfect example of why universities should hire coaches with a resume’ for building or maintaining programs, not one for leaving programs in shambles.

Just a theory regarding the remarkable decline of Texas A&M Football. The SEC is two seasons out from adding Texas and Oklahoma. Like it or not, these are two of the biggest brand names in college football. ESPN controls the money game in college football and it's well documented that they have a soft spot for Texas, whether it be for financial reasons, lust, or both. A&M has been winning the recruiting battles in the state of Texas for some time now and this has had a big impact to both Texas and Oklahoma. Let's just assume for a moment that the powers that be; ESPN, Texas, and the SEC made a significant under the table payment to one unnamed Texas A&M coach and in return that coach would agree to intentionally throw games and begin a program of managed decline prior to the additions of Texas and Oklahoma. ESPN, Texas, and the SEC cannot afford to have a poor quality Texas Football program added to the SEC when they finally join simply because it would add little value to a 16 team conference. College Football is 100% about money these days and the big brand names will always be the big brand names with the occasional Cinderella team just to keep things interesting.

I read another one on that same site last night that read if a coach finishes last in the conference that he should be fired at cause with no opportunity to receive further compensation or buyout of any kind.

Or this ...

this is how it felt the day after a Franchione coached team rolled over 0-77 to OU.

Exactly how it felt, except there was still hope things might get better after Fran's 1st season.

This will make you feel good:

LSU beat that OU team to win the National Championship.

Jimbo was never offered to come back to LSU under Woodward. I know that for fact directly from the only person in BTR who would know.

Sexton and Jimbo fleeced them for more money when no one was going after him.
