Not always - it's more of a default though. If Auburn losing to UGA helps us get to Atlanta, then GO DAWGS! Otherwise, I'm rooting for the Aubbies.

Not to hijack the thread, but I really don't think I can root for Bama to win the title ... and almost assuredly won't.

I'm with you Ice. I'd love to see both Big Televen teams get their doors blown off in BCS games.

See if you can follow this logic:

Alabama/Auburn/Team SEC member dominates OOC competition. In doing so, they become more appealing for recruits, and will acquire better talent. When your opponents acquire more talent, it makes it more difficult for your team to be successful.

Why would you root for a scenario that makes it more difficult for your team to be successful?

Because we are sick of seeing conferences like the Big 10 take up two BCS slots only because a.) we aren't allowed to send 3 or more teams, and b.) you have a large enough biased population in your conference to make rediculous claims like... "that was last year, we are back to our traditional big 10 dominance this year though"... (which seems to never be true, but gets you into bowl games)

The only thing worse is when Pete Carrol wins a "National Championship" without going to the BCS game (according to ESPN) because he runs his ignorant mouth and people believe him.

I'd love to have seen LSU play USC this year.

unfortunately being awarded an AP national title is pretty legit.

If you have to ask, then you will never get it, no matter how many times it is attempted to be explained to you.

YTC, because then if you lose two games, and we lose two games, we lost to much better opponents and therefore are still ranked higher than you. LSU was the highest 2 loss team before they banged themselves vs ole miss.

A point not made is that we know alot of these kids due to recruiting. I follow alot of recruiting and Bama, LSU, Aub... are after alot of the same guys. We get to know their history and want them at our school, however if they go to a rival we know about them. We know the background and generally wish them well against anyone, but our favorite team. Plus like the guy before me said. If you win the Mountain West or SEC who is more likely to go to the MNC.

Also, our part of the country gets dumped on by the rest as a bunch of ignorant, hillbilly, country bumpkins. I think you see a little pride in the South and our college football.

This. Kiss our southern asses. Make no mistake, the North looks down on us. This is one of those things in which not even Yankees can deny that the South is superior.

Never disputed that.

Thanks for your contribution, though.

you know how no big 10 schools get any respect right now? even if you have a good team, you don't play anybody. that is based on the fact that you conference sucks.

I don't want respect. I want championships. Heck, I'd love to be in the Big East if it meant an easier road to playing in the BCSCG.

Cincy's in the Big East, went undefeated, and still didn't get in.
