Who gives a F@&K? He’s not here so he’s no longer a Tiger. He’s bringing “Diversity “ and DEI to Rutgers now. Good riddance.
People like you want the good ol days when unqualified whites will get the high paying jobs over qualified minorities huh lol

Chicken and DrrTiger,
I agree that those ACT numbers can't be examined without full context. I want to clearly agree. Which why at face value, a conversation about student admissions is only apart of the story. We're all Tigers (assuming you guys graduated from LSU like me) so we can look deeper into this though.
ACT context doesn't hold water with GPAs though as they have to get submitted, and there are other metrics we can use to show the trends. Furthermore, if GPAs are high, we can assume that average test scores are comparable on average. Let's throw the scores out now.
If we look at retention, those numbers excelled under Tate's administration. Total students in / Students that Stayed in continued to grow. So again, that points to the quality of the student being able to handle a college level workload. So if we say, "but minority admissions increased", we can 100% with confidence say "the minorities actually have stayed and are doing well by the given metric". Keep in mind that everyone who attended LSU post 2021 had to deal with the same 2020, so to not defect on dropouts across the board, is an incredible feat in itself.

Like it or not, Tate was part of the problem and left because he was watching the chickens come home to roost.

Rutgers is a far superior academic institution than LSU.

Those universities have more Pan Asian students

I can’t believe the rant is going to defend Tate just to continue melting over this whole saga.
The LSU campus has declined significantly under his and predecessor’s leadership. The admission process is a mess, I can’t believe this board of all places would defend it.
F. King is really to blame for alot of the mess, but Tate allowed it to continue as status quo.

If you look at some of the prestigious universities in the United States, minorities are the majority. Harvard is only 16% white , Stanford is 25%, Yale 36%, Princeton is 33%.
If you have driven through campus lately you will notice that LSU doesn't have the minorities those particular Universities have.

ACTs increased under Tate) that were submitted, when comparing them to any point previous

If you are talking about African Americans, lsu has 19%, Harvard has 13%,

This is patently false.
