If you look at some of the prestigious universities in the United States, minorities are the majority. Harvard is only 16% white , Stanford is 25%, Yale 36%, Princeton is 33%.

a (slightly) more prestigious university,

In what world is Rutgers only slightly more prestigious than LSU?

He read the winds accurately and chose to leave, I believe. Not that Landry wouldn't have forced the issue at some point.

Yawn.

How do you know the minorities aren’t qualified?

Some are, sure. Many are not and would not have qualified when standardized tests were required.

Why the test optional approach didn’t help unqualified white ppl get in?

The percentage of white students has declined since the test optional policy was instituted. Some may have benefited, but clearly most have not.

Do your research, since more minorities has been admitted to lsu, they have improved their academic rankings.

No, they haven’t.

Those schools have large Asian populations. Check what demographic has the highest standardized test scores.

He prioritized flooding the campus with unqualified, test-optional Pell Grant minorities.

Crrrrryyyyyy you POS.

To be fair, the metric that should be used is probably a 4-6 year metric that will allow us to see in greater detail the %s during his tenure. The continued record breaking minority graduation rate that we've seen over the past few years should be equated to what happened prior to him. He got here in 21...so technically, these upcoming sets of graduation are kids who could be solely equated to him. Retention and Graduation rates during his time, can be equated to his leadership though. Things like focusing on Ag, Cyber Security, record breaking fundraising during his tenure can be highlighted though. Under no circumstances could anything be pointed towards his presidency that would lead to a realistic tag of being unsuccessful. Stop lying.

That goes for anyone, from Scon, to Landry, to anyone else. Look at the facts you bitch!

Me too. Tate tried to turn LSU into Southern.

At least Louisiana Tech still values merit and requires test scores.

There is literally nothing that points to "Tate tried to turn LSU into Southern"

Merit based admissions? Like the ones that MOST campuses across America went to, to help alleviate the Covid mess? We simply adopted the practices that our competitors used.

Did Merit Based Admissions reduce the quality of admitted of students? No...the admitted students actually were smarter (avg GPAs increased under Tate), more qualified based on the test scores (avg. ACTs increased under Tate) that were submitted, when comparing them to any point previous.

Partnerships with Community Colleges? I mean, sure...but they had to adhere to the rules and guidance provided in order to transfer in.

Your beef is misguided, largely underwhelming, old & stale...none of which addresses the record breaking fundraising, advancements in Biotech, emphasis on Coast and Wetlands, Graduate Student Admissions, emphasis on Louisiana high school graduates, etc.

I want facts. Back up your shitty argument with facts. I don't give 2shits about your feelings, give me facts.

LSU fans as usual have overblown this entire thing.

Nothing is as bad as the Rant makes it seems. No one cares about half the shite thrown out here.

You discredited your entire post with this propaganda. Here's a neat little math trick. When you get rid of most of the undesirable data, you can manipulate averages higher.

I'll fix your statement for you: The average ACT score -- submitted by approximately 40% of incoming students -- increased under Tate.
