By the beginning of January, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas A&M have signed 50 of the top 100 prospects.
I'm sure that number will go up by the February signing date.
I don't have figures on the number of 5 stars each of those teams has picked up in the portal.

I think what will get toxic is one player wanting as much as his teammate and if they don’t get it then you will see those players throwing a fuss. I.E. the US women’s soccer team wanting as much as the Men.

I’m sure that they can all stick together long enough to win a natty, which will further increase their collective value!
Seriously, have you even been watching Alabama the last ten years?

TAMU forking out millions in NIL to get #1 class will blow up in their face.
Think about it, a team full of 5*, prima donna, athletes who only care about money and fame. And suddenly you give them 6-7 figure salaries? Imagine a bunch of immature 18-20yr old boys suddenly becoming rich. Imagine all the horrible decisions that will be made. In the last decade, sometimes the ONLY thing that has kept these players in line and focused on football was the promise of $$$ if you make it to the next level.
I would never want to even TRY to coach a team of players like this, it will be a disaster and I’m going to laugh at TAMU and Jimbo
I certainly wouldn't want to have to babysit these suddenly rich kids. At least in the pros, those guys are a little bit older and a little bit more mature.
But coaching in college is going to be a lot more like coaching egos in the pros.

Well they’re going to have to learn quickly on why they aren’t as marketable as someone else.

TAMU shelling out that kind of money is in direct response to Texas and to a lesser degree Oklahoma coming to the SEC. This is one of their last years that they can sell cool by association. Austin >>> College Station.

It’s hilarious how a kid taking money automatically makes them a prima Donna and means they won’t be successful. A lot on this board are in for a rude awaking when A&M has success.

At a minimum aTm will be a good NIL CFB social experiment.

There;s getting paid and ther there’s getting paid. Watch the Marcus Dupree 30 for 30. The issue will be dissension. There’s not a plan in place

I think the bigger concern for them is gonna be the portal. No team has room for that many 5 stars....some of these players they bought gonna transfer....no doubt

This is what exactly Alabama has been doing for years and it seems to be working pretty well.

Chase was a 5 star on 247. We might not win against Bama without him

You can only play 11 at a time. With NIL dependence, those that don’t play won’t stay. On the upside BC you can get the pick of the group you should end up with an upgrade in some positions. However, you have to win and win big or you’ll be out sooner than later.

Their record last year has to give pause to some of their folks.
Beating Bama is enough? That’s where this ends bad.

Only those that don’t take money to attend LSU. Taking LSU’s money proves you have heart and want to work hard and now be part of this mythical Brian Kelly “culture”.

Plus the 3 year agreement will create toxic locker room when they don't play, can't leave, and get into lots of trouble with said money
