Bowl games are meaningless.

And if the SEC had a winning record in the bowl games, I'm willing to bet you wouldn't be writing that.

The Big10 has only 1 win over the SEC in the playoffs

And the SEC has only zero wins over the Big10 in the playoffs. What in the heck does that statistic prove?

And all of the Big10 teams played weak schedules.

Prove it in the bowl games and the playoff games. Just because the SEC had more ranked teams doesn't necessarily mean they were better teams, just more pull for the rankers.
I'm the same. I'm not watching or following college football nearly as much as I used to. I'm not sure how all this will turn out.

Arkansas hails from the Southwest Conference, a league that was torn apart by endless cycles of recruiting violations

The Southwest Conference was torn apart by Texas, the same way they tore apart the old Big 8 when they joined there.

Many coaches want 105 for all kinds of practice situations. There needs to be three or four backups for every position.

Isn't Kelly the one that started all of this by filing his suit? If he had just accepted the proposed buyout when it was offered, it would have been over with weeks ago.

Not sure what you mean by this. Kelly filed his suit after LSU refused to pay the full amount. The proposed buyout was a lot less than the amount guaranteed by the contract.

Yahoo sports???? Who gives a frick about that shite

Yahoo Sports is the third-most-read online sports site, behind the Bleacher Report and ESPN.

Whether or not we agree with the author, this report will be out there and a lot of college sports people will read it.

It's time for LSU to man up, pay the contract, and do damage control.
Bookmark this thread just in case LSU beats A&M and Alabama.
I don't blame him. When I was in my early 20s and someone offered me $3 million for one year, I would have jumped at the chance.
I can't get the photo to show up, but the screenshot of ESPN says Nebraska is a dark horse to win the SEC football championship.

That means you haven't traveled outside of Atlanta in your own state.

Just like everything, it individual preferences.

I love MLB and watch nearly every game that I can get on our cable system. The best things in the past couple of years has been the pitching clock speeding up the games, and the willingness of baseball owners to embrace replays to allow the calls to be correct.
These lists are always made for clicks.

The statistics list murder, rape, and other crimes.

What other crimes? Shoplifting? Marijuana in a dorm room? Parking tickets?
Van Horn took a non-baseball school, Nebraska, to the World Series. Nebraska is still sorry he left here -- he was a popular coach who related well to Nebraska fans.
I think part of it is that Tennessee went into the games thinking they were so much better than anyone in the SEC.

No matter how good a team is, it's always dangerous to go into games thinking you're going to waltz your way because you're so much better than your opponent.

It's how low division schools will sometimes beat top teams.
It's good to go into the game feeling like underdogs.

It's not good going into a game feeling you're so much better than the competition you don't need to try.
Just play it in Omaha so all the SEC teams feel comfortable there in the World Series.

Jordy is as good a hitter and runner as she is a pitcher. Amazing athlete. We need to offer her a couple million to come back to OU for her senior season. I'll put up the first $20.

She likes being home.
I left Louisiana for a job and ended up in Nebraska. Before the regional, Husker fans were sure they were in one of the toughest regionals since LSU would win it all. I haven't followed LSU softball this year, so I can't comment on whether or not the coach should be replaced.

More mess for college athletics

As if it isn't a mess already, the four power conferences are on the verge of making rules that will force universities to violate their own state laws.

What's the thought on how long DVH will coach? I see he'll be 65 this fall?

Nebraska would take him back even if he was 95. He took Nebraska, not exactly a baseball powerhouse, to the World Series. Yeah, we'd take him back.
