Impossible to say but there are formations and plays that isolate DL and minimize their impact.

You can go 3 or 4 wide and throw it a bit more.

You can go more read option. It's a play that is designed to minimize a better DL. The OL doesn't have to dominate, the QB puts pressure on the DL by forcing one to play him or the RB.

Would it have mattered? But it was worth a shot and these are in the playbook it would not have been like we would have been drawing up plays in the dirt.

Don't think we've thrown a classic screen all year; maybe bubble screens.

Honestly think if Cam would have had more faith in Harris to be accurate in the short and intermediate range they would have mixed it up more. LSU would have had more time of possession which means less snaps for the defense.

The end of the 1st half and beginning of the 2nd half were really big impacts on this game Imo. The kickoff out of bounds and big hit by Tony Brown killed all of the momentum LSU had. The Int by Harris on the 1st play in the 2nd half basically limited Cam's play calling the rest of the game.

Aside from some lucky chuck and ducks we had nothing.

You don't win a game where you are physically dominated

If we had a couple successes, Smart would have adapted and shut them down

Our team didn't want any part of anything wearing red last night

Except for our DBs. That was it

True in my opinion with a slight spin. When LSU staff saw, as everyone did, that the LF7 run was not there they should have opened up the field with short passes, rollouts, bootlegs, screens, jet sweeps, etc. Instead we kept on trying to out muscle the strength of Bama's defense and we got whipped. Bama vulnerability is on the edges and the pass game. If we had forced them to respect the pass on every down then the run-box would have opened up. This game was still winnable late in the third qtr but the adjustments that I mentioned needed to 2nd qtr... JMHO

You all forget that Bama only had like 6 -8 plays with no FD's in the second half last year and pulled it out on the last drive of the game...

Correct answer. And I truly think the coaches have worked with BH in practice about this over and over. It is why it was not a sure thing before August and even when AJ got in trouble that BH would be the starter this year. That light is going to have to turn on for him.

The Tony Brown hit was just dramatics. They get over that quickly. Its more about the INT. That put our O in a shell and Bama knew our coaches would react that way. It was definitely preventable.

If you said false, go ask Ole Miss how they beat Bama 2 years in a row. And it's not by running the football to set up the pass. It's the other way around. Play calling is the key and that's what we lack.

Did you watch this year's OM/Bama game?
OM lucked out.

With the LB's zeroing in on Fournette, you would think that the TE's would be used more in the passing game. Nope, not Les!

One of the reasons the online was getting crushed and no where to run was all 10 of them in the box knew we were running on 1st down
