I detest the no-calls by this SEC crew. I saw Fournette hit when he went out of bounds and flew 5 yds out of bounds. Then another, Harris was hit out of bounds. The unintentional punch by their TE that hit Adams would have been a flag on us if it were us. None of these even caused our crack SEC refs from pulling the flag. On Tolivers PI call the receiver reached back and wrapped his arm around Tolivers helmet I assume trying to lower Tolivers head so he could make the catch. And some other questionable ones I don't remember. Though most of our penalties were necessary others by them were ignored.

I thought the Syracuse offensive game plan ws very good. I thought our D would have a great game against a first start qb. There are no moral victories but this coach did a better than expected job. His comments will not be taken well by some on both sides but are a nice look inside for us and and a heads up to the our o line who needs to be alert to to cheap shots on fournette.

You just can't say shite like that in this day and age, he would've when cool besides the fact he phrased it thst he wanted to,"kick his arse",I know mid state NY people can be a little crude, but still, I'd be surprised if he doesn't have to apologize for what he said
C'mon, man! Methinks you take things too literally.

If it were a Saints coach, the NFL would suspend him for the year for talking tough and allege a bounty.

Who wouldn't want to beat the best player ever to come out of the state of Louisiana.

just hope it doesn't become a "Hack-a-Shaq" situation as the season progresses. There were a few times when the play was over and the whistle had blown, yet players were still piling on.
I'll blame Ritter & crew because he's a cheating SOB but hopefully LF doesn't incur an injury in a similar situation.
Considering the dirty play we've seen in recent years from Auburn & Mississippi State, nothing would surprise me.

THIS THIS THIS ... SU piling on many times , and we can look for more of it. Its gonna be "Hack-a-Buga" , count on it ...

Not sure I'd say that in a presser but like the attitude

The Syracuse defenders also pulled Fournette's helmet off purposely too.

agree. They are better than I thought, too. Salty bunch. A lot of our fans thought we'd go up there and they would just bend over at home because we're LSU. A lot of our fans are stupid.
Come on man, without the penalties, LSU blows that team the f**k out. It's demoralizing for a defense to beat a team on 3-4 down twice in the same drive only to get the ball advanced because of stupid penalties caused by them. That leads to TDs, that should have been punts.
Then you have kids taking punts inside the 10, that should have been touchbacks, and punters shanking kicks. WRs dropping passes left and right, it was a complete mess.
LSU at its worse won that game, and I'm very happy. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, and say that Syracuse is actually pretty good (i don't think you are but I have seen a couple others). They fought like dogs because we gave them treats all got damn day. You keep feeding a dog, and it'll keep coming back.

He wanted to hurt him and take him out of the Heisman race

What an a-hole

Syracuse, N.Y. — Two years ago, Syracuse helped cripple former Boston College running back Andre Williams' Heisman Trophy campaign.
Williams was held to 29 yards and left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury.
On Saturday, the Orange faced another Heisman candidate in LSU running back Leonard Fournette. For SU head coach Scott Shafer, the goal was the same. The result, though, was different.
"I really wanted to kick his arse to be honest with you," Shafer said, "and I know he'd appreciate that. You get a chance to play a Heisman Trophy candidate, you want to knock him backward. You want to get after him and you want him to no longer be in the Heisman race after you play him."

that's not what he meant at all. Shafer just wanted to shut LF down. He wanted the Syracuse game to be a black mark on LF's Heisman campaign.

That is what I thought at first too but he didn't seem to mind that Andre Williams had a shoulder injury.

injuries happen. it's football.
doesn't mean that it happened on purpose

Sounds like Football, probably why he got hit in the balls

we get them in 2017, and we won't have LF7
We'll have plenty. Want to place a bet right now that LSU beats them in 2017?
Can't wait for this game. Staring QB (not the walk-on that played last week), starting RB, and a lot of young defensive guys who played Saturday will be 3rd year starters in 2017....ya never know
