Between the media wanting constant interviews, sleazy politicians wanting photo ops with the Heisman star, “friends of the program” wanting signed shite to give to their family at Christmas. . . I could see this getting way out of hand real fast.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma is 12 days away.

I trust O and Joe. They knew what would come with the Heisman. They have to do the media thing... there is zero reason to believe that they will not be ready come game time.

Damn, that's scary. I was typing basically the same kind of thought and posted it before seeing your post. I agree 100%.

All of this. I'm not worried at all about our guys being prepared for the next game.

Orgeron won't have to put an end to any circus. Burrow will put an end to the circus. I have 100% faith that he is focused on the ultimate prize.

They are back to practice this week. They were all off last week, chill out, they are not going to lose focus.

Joe is tired of it too, but you gotta let him have his moment. He didn’t win that trophy because he has a weak mind. He’ll be fine

Yea, lets hope next year no LSU player will be up for awards that would be a GREAT season!

This LSU has not looked past anyone minus the second half versus Ole Miss. They will be ready to go come Dec. 28th I have no doubt!

I'm glad Joe isn't as mentally weak as some of the people on this board.

I think the 24 hour rule probably applies just as it would after a win. Enjoy it and then get back to work.

The level of paranoia our fans have never ceases to amaze me.

If there’s anyone you don’t have to worry about being ready, it’s O and Burrow. They’re 100% laser focused and ready to go. At no point in this season have I felt like Joe or anyone on the offense was looking forward, backward, or wasn’t prepared.

Well, that's not true. History is replete with examples of winners who got arrogant and then were destroyed due to that arrogance. There's even a saying about this from the incomparable Shakespeare: "Pride goeth before a fall."

Will that happen to Orgeron's Tigers? I hope not. But there is zero in their history that would lead one to guess one way or the other.
