As in still running wind sprints look they are the end all be an. He should have the individual position groups and they should be running sprints based on distance and timing of the offense.

Defranco's describes it better than me.

I just read the article, LSU does most of those things. Tire flips, short shuttle runs, sled work. They do strong man stuff. Refer to the levee workout vids from this summer.

When O took over he made Moffitt re-do the 4th quarter program workouts. There was literature last offseason on it

They still do the standard testing but they do this other stuff too. The players are probably laughing reading this stuff.

Moffit is always adapting trying to learn new things. Listen to a few of the pods he has been on.

Well that's good to know as they didn't used to do that stuff

As far as gymnastics, advanced parallel bar and ring movements i.e. controlling and moving the body through space.

utter and complete nonsense.

Have you seen the many, many, many freshmen QBs all around the country who play immediately, and play very well?

Why do LSU players show so poorly at the combine?

If that's the case then LSU needs to do something to even the odds. They might have better players and more of them but if LSU recruits enough and they sit in the S&C program long enough then we are bound to at least play with them.

I think people make way too much out of players. Any player given the tools can go out and beat the next guy no matter how good of a ranking he had. LSU recruits well enough to stay with Bama. Maybe not every year but every 3 at the very least.

The problem is that we just wernt getting the number in the trenches Iike we are now. If there is a discrepancy along the line then the S&C program is supposed to even those things out with work. Along with a great scheme. You put it all together and we should be at the very least competing with them.

I see a vast difference in S&C and I have for years. In 2011 we didn't have all this talent. They had an exceptional year of conditioning and we had the numbers to keep up. Bama still had the better overall players but we stayed toe to toe with them. People make these players like they're some kind of gods. Y'all are dumb as frick. It's the numbers and we aren't doing enough with the players we do have.

LSU shouldn't have 360 and 370 lb NTs. We could also get our DEs closer to 295 than 310 and yes those lbs make a huge difference in explosion. Just look at Glen Logan and the difference he's made in one year. You can look back a few years at Greg Gilmore. Why didn't we have him in peak shape his Sophomore year? He was fat and out of shap until his junior season. We can have them ready much earlier and that's the difference as well as numbers.

It's time that our S&C staff stay on these DLman and OLman about cutting excess fat and adding muscle mass. Push them harder. It's not the program itself, it's the people in it not motivating our players enough. Maybe they don't feel like that's their job and we're waiting for the players to make their own decisions while Bama and others are getting on these guys asses and knocking at their door at 5 AM to go work out. Idk but we shouldn't have guys in the program for two years not in tip top shape ever.

Idk if it’s recruit, Moffit or a mixture of the two, but out linemen don’t look like Alabama’s or Clemson. They just don’t have the same bodies.

Oh so I'm clueless? Go look at our rankings from 2008 to 2011 and tell me that LSU was equal or close to Bama and get back to me.

Why were we just as good as bama then? I'll hang up and listen.

Y'all think the players we have can't compete with Bama if they would take their jobs more seriously from the get go? Get the frick out of here. We have better talent on this team now then we did back then. We simply don't have the numbers but that's changing and if all these guys would work as hard as they could everyday then we would play with bama every year as long as we keep our numbers up and recruit good players. We have good players, but they're vastly out of shape.

These questions started popping up a few years ago when our guys would be outperformed at the combine by their peers. Especially our big guys. And the questions continued when we keep getting pushed around by teams like Troy and other less talented teams.

And we are fed the same shite every offseason. This is the best-conditioned team we've had since I've been here.
