Can't really judge any player negatively with the coaching staff that we rolled out. Exception would be guys that aren't giving good effort. Even then, some of those plays are guys overthinking instead of reacting due to poor coaching.

I didn't think he was that good last year. All he had was a bull rush.

Mathis has played a ton, wasn't expecting that from the true freshman but that can't be bad he's gotten a lot of looks

Gooden has not regressed lol. Him and Guillory have been the only players worth noting on the interior this year. Crazy take.

Im not going to pick on the defense much, weeks being hurt. Statistically they have been pretty good.

The offense does them no favors either.

You do realize that most DT don’t put up eye popping stats and much of their job is to eat up blockers and cause chaos to open things up for the others.

I have heard McKinley’s name plenty in games for being disruptive even if the traditional stats don’t show that.

I read that he didn't play against Western Kentucky. Anybody have his snap count from PFF?

Curious about this as well. His brother is starting to get predicted to land at Ohio state. Maybe he’s already looking around.

I hope he goes to Ohio State, because I saw him against St. Aug, and he was not impressive.

I mean, by what definition has he not regressed? This was by far his worst year as a collegiate player.

As I said, it was expected due to the competition. But truly elite players coming from G5 schools do not see a ton of regression when bumping up in competition.

For reference, his average grade in SEC games drops to 57.7

If Lane gets the job and wants O, that should be the call.

Even now you can't get O's dick out of your mouth. O is no longer a good dline coach. We didn't have a good one the last time.he was here. I don't want that certified idiot anywhere near lsu.

He’s a backup NG, hard to judge much this season because of reps. I’m in the wait and see camp with him.

The DLine was not good this year, no push up front and definitely no rush to the QB with the front four. Looking forward to getting some better athletes at DLine and someone who can coach them up.

Gooden has been by far the most impactful Dline guy this season, as far as anyone else on the interior Dline, very average players

Nah. Reliford was having a great start to the season before he was injured. That was a major turning point for the DL.

He's probably transferring to Ohio State.

Payton was already regressing at FSU. Pyburn is what we expected. I think Butler has been better than expected and the injury to Reliford was pretty big. On the interior Guillory and Gooden have both played well but I thought Breaux would take a bigger step forward. Also remember Kyle Williams wasn't hired until most of these guys were already picked

This! I will only add that I remember on this board several saying Dominick was overrated and should never have been a 5*. They were right...he plays like an average starting SEC DT which IMO is equivalent to a low 4*

He has done a great job even if the Rant can't appreciate it. One season with injuries everywhere. Give him some time to evaluate/recruit and develop and he will demonstrate what made him the all pro interior dlineman he was. Or we can hire another Brad Davis equivalent.

The interior DLine is at least as good as last year when we had a very veteran coach in Bo Davis who has had success at the college and NFL level. I think for K. Williams to come in and maintain, if not improve, the DLine is pretty good. McKinley appears to have been overhyped. It happens. Guillory has been really good, as has Gooden. Breaux is a rotation guy, but is only 285.
