I think it’s a wash really. Both are top tier college QBs. It will come down to OL play. I feel pretty good about ours.

Florida States offensive coordinator, Alex Atkins, likes to run the spread offense. Since our secondary is the weak point of the team trying to cover four receivers may be a challenge.

Sorry, I'm taking Jordan Travis. He had the highest PFF grade in all of P5 last year, had a better passer rating than Daniels AND as a runner a higher ypc including some absolute Houdini plays. Travis also had the best NCAA rating for passes over 20 yards in the air. And the dude is super slippery. Jayden Daniels is excellent, but he simply can't do some of the things in this video.

Travis is a better QB. His YPA was near elite and by the end of the year he was one of the best QBs in the country. He's head and shoulders better.

I’d say the difference in attempts indicate that JD is more elusive, athletic and creative. Travis having 1/2 the attempts indicates they were obvious opportunities. I think OPs observation is on point.
Being elusive, athletic, and creative isn’t a good thing when there is a receiver running open down the middle of the field. JD would go through one or two reads then take off running. He can’t do that again this year.

Huh? The OP said that Daniels is a better runner “by far” because he had more rush yards. He also had over 100 more carries.
You don’t think that having the same avg rush yardage while having more time ha double the rushes is relevant.
“Oh well he did he for 82 rush, I’m sure he would have just continued to do it”

Daniels at his worst was very bad.

Jordan Travis has never beaten a ranked team. Barely scraped by a patchwork brand new LSU team last year. Different thing coming next Sunday.

Auburn and Arkansas were very hard games to watch offensively. Be happy you missed them

I mean that’s the whole point of the stat. To be able to compare what different players with different amount of attempts are doing on average…

Useless comparison. All that matters is the differential in Daniels vs FSU defense compared to Travis vs LSU defense
Yeah but…doesn’t this analysis help answer those questions?

Nuss is better than both

Do sacks count as rushing attempts in college still?

Plus special teams Cost us that game last year.
Fix that and we should complete nicely

By a long shot.
LSU should easily beat FSu

Jayden has the opportunity to silence everyone and make the world recognize him. I don’t really look into which QB has the edge they are both healthy heading into week 1. They both control their destiny and I can’t wait for the matchup.

It’s a simple formula for us and JD. Run the ball on 1st down and he’s very effective. Throw on 1st down too much and he isn’t. When it comes to Travis he won’t be making those extended plays he made last year with Harold Perkins in spy mode. The edge goes to JD but it’s somewhat dependent on play calling.

They shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. Daniels runs circles around him in every aspect.
