bullshite! I was there Section 412 row 18 seat 20. Lower bowl was absolutely packed.

Not saying people leaving at half isn’t an issue but don’t exaggerate the situation and spout shite you obviously don’t know.

What made me livid was in the 4th Q, chants of “LSU, LSU” started and it was DROWNED OUT BY PUMPED IN MUSIC.

This is not the Tiger Stadium environment I grew up with.

I sat in standstill traffic for HOURS leaving Oxford. Took us three hours to basically get free and clear from Oxford headed back to Jackson.

Gainesville was awful.

Auburn had awful traffic.

The only stadium I’ve been to that I didn’t sit for Hours was uga. That’s mainly because of the multiple routes in and out.

If you told everyone inside TS they could stay until the end, be in their car and normal route home within 30 mins, more would stay.

Has this ever been the case? Not sure this would be a realistic expectation even in 1970.

LSU fans/Louisiana people are much more activated by being an underdog than a favorite.

Great way to put it. But I think this is true everywhere.

A home underdog crowd will have way more juice, than a home big favorite crowd.

IMO…it’s the oddsmakers that pit the kabosh on the excitement. When LSU went up 8 late a lot of people left. Fortunately, we don’t the crowd to get amped up while we’re on offense.

It also used to not cost me 200 bucks to take my 7 yr old to a game.

A lot of people were getting hotdogs when you took that picture. This is fine.

I can't understand having tickets but not wanting to be at that game.

It's just a different era. I don't have kids but my nieces and nephews (with one exception) didn't grow up obsessed with LSU sports like I did and football games on Saturday nights are a social event on their calendar not a right of passage like it was for me and my friends growing up. And it's pretty much been a whole generation now of that culture of fan.

The next social event that was planned after the game is more enticing to them and they would just as soon get there to the air conditioning and out of the heat. Gawd forbid they have to sweat.

Exit time is ABSOLUTELY a problem-at least WESTBOUND. If you stay for the entire game, going west has and will take 2 hours to get out and THEN, you have your drive to Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alex, etc. Fans are accepting of their I-10 drive time, but NOT their obligatory frickin around time (OFAT) in BR.

Since the rate limiting step is the overwhelming number of cars attempting to get onto I 10 off Nicholson-near Pasttime, any maneuver that would diminish that would help the parking lot/Nicholson flow. Consequently, the entire west bound drive back home time would be greatly lessened.

One option we’ve mentioned to deaf LSU and BR government officials is to provide parking lots in WBR parish along I10 AND provide buses, allowed to contraflow, to ferry fans to and from games. This would greatly reduce westbound cars and therefore congestion around Pasttime and the I 10 entry ramp.

Result: more fans stay for entire game.

This has been a problem for years. Not sure how you go about fixing it.

If they didn’t sell any the price wouldn’t be that high. Fans should not buy ridiculously priced food or drinks.

It was very loud in person. It’s just depressing to see all the empty seats in the lower west and east sides

I parked in lot 307. Stayed the entire game and was off campus in 10 minutes. You people need to figure it out.

This is going to get more and more common. Right now it is simply too easy to stay home and watch the game. Throw in that it was a muggy/humid evening and of course traffic for days we will seemingly always have this issue.
