Stadium gameday atmosphere is a problem…
Posted by Roux57

This was taken with 5:05 in the 4th quarter of an SEC matchup at night TIED 31-31. Absolutely pathetic.
The speakers suck, the band hardly plays anything, not to mention how quiet the band is, could barely hear them in the southeast corner. Sad. What happened to Death Valley?

I have a very similar photo of the east sidelines in the middle of the 4th.
I can't understand having tickets but not wanting to be at that game.

The sound does suck and compared ot Oxford and Starkville they really suck
However, I’d say part of the win last night goes to TS. We got pretty damn loud even with a poor defensive performance. We forced them to burn all of their second half timeouts early. I’d attribute some of that to the noise

These post are exhausting. Death Valley was fine last night. Y’all people just want to live miserably.

Has it always been this way? I know they moved the band a while back (no clue when, probably forever ago) - but was the band louder throughout the stadium in their previous location?
Inconsistent program - up and down so can’t catch momentum for fan excitement
Poor state - we don’t have as many potential customers to pay the sticker price
Loser mentality - LSU fans/Louisiana people are much more activated by being an underdog than a favorite.

It's 2023. Less people are going to games all together.

If tickets aren’t scanned for the game, there should be some rule that if your season tickets aren’t scanned for over 1/2 of the home games, you get a notice of the possibility of losing your season tickets for the following year. You get a 1 season notice and if it happens again in the 2nd year, the third year the seats go back into the available to purchase pool.
With that being said, the crowd still affected the game, a lot.

You’re right, it was “fine” but it’s not what Death Valley used to be. Tied 31-31 with 5:05 in the fourth against Arkansas the place should be going complete bonkers. I’ve got a hoarse voice and a headache this morning, I did my part.

It looked like that at kickoff.

1. More band less DJ and piped in music
2. LA-30 needs to be 5 lanes all the way to I-10 and I-10 6 lanes all the way to LaPlace.
3. River Road needs to be 4 lanes all they way to Sunshine Bridge
4. Need another I-10 bridge just south of campus.
Things we don’t need. A 4 lane bridge in St. Francisville

They have to fix traffic. Everyone is so scared of getting to their cars and sitting in standstill for 2+ hours. Every time we leave there are cars pouring into campus. They need to shut that down and have contra flow out of every artery

That DJ shite is awful. It’s just constant, blaring, tinny crap. Does anyone want that?

Spoiled fanbase.
Do you see the threads on this site? It’s constant bitching about the most petty things.
Even the student section started thinning out in the forth.

The DJ is crap I agree. Again. Waaaaay better atmosphere in Oxford and Miss st last week
This is what you get when you don’t improve the experience.
- Install LED lighting system
- Play better music on kickoffs
- Let the band play renditions of familiar songs, etc
- Give out towels or shirts
There’s a ton of things that can be done to increase interest in visiting the stadium
