It’s not at all conceivable that an undefeated FSU gets left out.

Would be a tragedy.

The ACC was 6-4 vs the SEC this year, FSU was 2-0.

They have one of the best defenses in the land, bar none.

I am actively cheering for the SEC to be left out. That corrupt little Dixie Mafia office in Birmingham doesn’t deserve one penny after orchestrating blatant fraud. How many times do we need to see it? Dallas Turner. The BS fumble call in Baton Rouge last year. Last night’s 4th down “catch” that lead to a game deciding score. Not sure how the revenue split works during playoffs but if SEC gets left out it’s a very bad look for Spankme and the redneck cartel over there.

100% agree. Best post on play offs.

Keep in mind there will be limited at-large teams because conference champions of the weaker P5 conferences and the highest rated G5 team are guaranteed slots.

The 12 team playoff will not be filled with at-large SEC teams.

I think we’re going to see 2 Big12, 2 Big10, 2 ACC, and 2 SEC and 2 west coast teams, the other 3 will probably include an 1 SEC team every other year possibly.

Almost everything I read this morning indicates the SEC will be left out even though they know bama and uga could beat the rest of the field.

Georgia had their shot. They lost to Bama.

Bama had their shot. They lost to Texas.

So, no, there is an on-the-field result that Bama did not beat the “rest of the field.”

How much does the SEC care about LSU? Yes, you answered the question. Here is an upvote.

and didn’t beat the #1 ranked team. You are saying Texas’s win over bama in wk 2 is more impressive than last nights win over the #1 ranked GA?

GA was ranked number 1 due to past performance in previous years. They didn’t look like world beaters this year at all. And we see the rankings manipulated all the time so they can promote a top ten matchup during the season. So we have two teams with one loss each now. Yes Texas lost to Oklahoma in a rivalry game. Bama almost lost to Auburn in a rivalry game. So who did Bama actually lose to? TEXAS! Texas should get the nod with having already beat this team this year.

I thought the whole point of the committee was flexibility. The ability to take more than the record into account when selecting playoff teams. If that holds true, Fl St is out and UGA or UA should be in.
Watched Fl St last night. Anyone who watched Louisville/Fl St after UGA/UA had to see the difference. Michigan, Washington, Texas and Georgia or Alabama.

Why does everyone keep ignoring TX loss to Oklahoma? Yes the win H2H is important, but TX has a conference loss, and didn’t beat the #1 ranked team. You are saying Texas’s win over bama in wk 2 is more impressive than last nights win over the #1 ranked GA?
and don't forget that UGAs only loss is to a top-10 team, in an "extra" game. Using the metric you stated is the logic for both Gumps and Shorthorns to be left out an UGA to stay in. UGAs loss is better than UTs loss and Bama lost to UT.

I hope they both get left out. frick the SEC. Whatever helps LSU is what I want. Both of them sitting at home helps us in recruiting.

Could not agree more. I’ve been ready to leave for 15 years. If it wasn’t for high quality baseball, I would have been stomping for this. The best fit for LSU is the Big 12. Good sports across the board. Baseball is high quality, football is good enough and basketball is good quality.

That would be UT. Go back and find YouTube broadcasts of their games vs UH and K State, and you'll know what I mean.

Alabama's late TD vs Auburn was pure skill and execution, not luck.
