You are taking statistics from the South Carolina game and trying to say that they have some predictive relevance for the A&M game. That is an error in your thinking. Yes we had 400 yards but we fumbled one TD and threw an interception on the other. Those are the problems I am talking about.
Saturday night was the first time LSU has lost a fumble since the Clemson game. So it's not like fumbles have been a constant issue. Just a bad play by the RB. He was starting to move the ball in his arms to get ready to extend it over the goal-line when the SC defender made a good play to punch it out.
The running game was significantly improved. LSU averaged 5.5 yards per attempt. Their previous best this season was 3.9 vs SLU. And it wasn't just a few "lucky" plays. You saw some changes in the approach. Most notably, some counterplays. Johnson's long run was off once such play. Green went in motion and sealed the end backside and allowed Johnson time to find space up the middle. LSU changed up the running game more than they have all season.
It was by no means a great performance. But is WAS improvement. It was the second most total yards allowed by SC this season, and by far the most average yards per play allowed by SC in a game (6.7) this season. We will now see this week if that improvement was just a one-off anomaly, or the start of some meaningful changes.

Everything is still right in front of this team. If they can get some consistent QB play watch out

One thing about Kelly's LSU teams, they typically get much better as the season goes. The only anomaly to that would be that horrific three game stretch last season.

Problem? We have only one? I remember when we could not run the ball, Nuss had an injury, Nuss made bad decisions every now and then, and we could not pass protect. But in the last game we pass protected much better, Nuss seems over his injury and is throwing it harder, and we ran the ball well. The only problem that seems to still be there (based on a one game sample) is Nuss making crazy decisions. So maybe you were right, and we only have one remaining problem on offense, but I don’t know that we “aren’t fixing” it.
Oh yeah, we used to have another problem: Nuss would never run from the pocket. That problem is in the past, too.

But, I agree that it's possible.
You get 4 to 1 downvotes for saying that
If that doesn't tell you the overall diagnostic abilities of this board given what they have been able to witness, nothing will.

One guy said it’s almost always the case.
Our fanbase is dumb…and uninformed…and irrationally optimistic at times…and irrationally pessimistic at other times.

I don't think so. Vandy will be tough but we should win, even with a performance like last weekend vs USC. A&M is at home and our D will expose their one dimensional offense. They won't put up more than 14 and we will score at least 20.

Because of your title I thought the police were in Tigerland for a few seconds, lol

One dimensional? They're 6th in the SEC in passing ypg; 6th in rushing YPG; and have a near even split of 13 passing TDs and 12 rushing TDs on the year.
Moss is out; but Owens was a the #2 RB recruit in 2024; and Daniels is a veteran with 1,600 career rushing yards.
A&M has a solid offense; I still think the defense is their weak point.

You can’t lose to Vandy or A&M. Hate to say it, but we’re probably getting another loss on the road at Bama. You take 3 L’s and it’s over.

And this is why they should be favored.
Reed has a much better chance to manufacture against our D more than what Nuss has been able to produce against any D.
A&M is coming in with a better defense than all opponents we've faced outside of maybe FL, and their offense is much more capable.
We still have Tiger Stadium at night with the marquee thing going for us, but we had that last year for Alabama too.

There is reason to be optimistic for sure. But I would be lying if I said that I trusted us to get this right.

STFU with this dumb bullshite. You want us to be the next UNC disaster.

If the team plays like it has all season, and Vandy plays like it has all season, it's a toss up.
What has Vandy actually done, though? They beat a Virginia Tech team that has proven to be one of the worst in P4 and beat SC by a misleading final score without Sellers for most of the game. They stuck with Bama for a half, but were completely dominated in the second half. They gave up 35 points and 274 yards passing against Utah St and a total of 614 yards passing and 65 points in their last two games. They had only 333 yards of total offense against Bama and 328 against SC. They have shown that their offense can be held in check by a good defense, while their defense is vulnerable. That doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous or that LSU can sleep walk through the game, but I don’t agree they have played better than LSU so far this year even if LSU’s struggles on offense.

I think their defense is overrated. They've played the three bottom half SEC offenses at home to start conference play.
If they shut down Arkansas on the road this weekend, then I'll change my tune. But I think South Carolina and Florida both have better defenses. Unfortunately that means that LSU will likely have to hold them to below 20 points unless the offense really has improved and will cut down on mistakes.

Well you have to get there in order to frick up there and in previous games we weren't even getting there. I get what mean how these sloppy mistakes are terrible but in past games we weren't even getting close to the goal line. Shows slight progression against an average P4 defense.

8-4
Losses: Vandy, Bama, Ok and aTm possibly. I like us to win at home.
Possible 7-5 with this average OL against solid SEC DL teams.
Hit the road CBK..........
