What's your point dude? There have been a hell of a lot of teams better than LSU over the last several years. Lsu has been bad under bad coaching. Most of us get that. I still dont consider those teams better than LSU as a program, unless you arent counting hardware....thats on you though. You must not live anywhere close to OM fans....or read Facebook. It isnt even close. Something is off with you, it seems youbare arguing just to argue. Not playing this game. Carry on.

These same people still support Les, O, Alleva and Woodward. They aren’t serious people and would hold LSU back due to their own self righteousness. There are no rules due to the feckless NCAA so you either push the limits or you watch those that do play in the playoffs.

You are typical of this ME ME generation unable to accept personaly accountability and LAW AND ORDER. I guess thats what happens when you hire a soy beta california lib to coach your team. The fans start to drink the lib anarchist FILTH kool-aid

Ignore the narrative that he told them to sue the NCAA. He could very well have reached out to recruit them in case the opportunity’s there, but he’s too smart to give legal advice. Any litigation options would have come from attorneys, and it was probably awhile ago. I don’t think the timing is a coincidence.

All I was saying is that yes, I can imagine the melt that will be seen from Ole Miss if we have a good year and they don’t. We’ve seen it in the past with other teams fan bases, including LSU.

Yeah I’ve never claimed that there are a bunch of schools out there that have a better football “program” than LSU, however you would like to define that.

I interact with multiple Ole Miss fans/alum every single day. And no, I don’t judge fan bases off of what I see on Facebook. Have you seen what some LSU fans post on Facebook? It’s hilarious.

I don’t think I started an argument with you. I just answered your question.

Understand this...things have changed recently.
Now you have 5 for 5
Now you can get paid being a college athlete with NIL
And since you only have 5 yrs of college if you can't make a pro team (even if you signed a free agent deal and got cut) and a college team wants you and you have one year left go make some money.
Why is it ok for some things to change and not this.
Matt Mauck QB'd LSU at 28 which would not be allowed in today's 5 for 5.
I dgaf if someone tried out for the pros and got cut tried to play one more year of college if it's within the 5 for 5. You are only a top athlete for maybe 5 yrs of your life, let the kids get paid one more time.
Things change. Adapt or get left behind.

When you are garnering this many downvotes on TD, I think it’s clear that most of us are wanting to be done with this and move on to football. I’m holding strong behind Lane but he is going to start making it hard if he pursues this.

They are the stupid brook trout that Nick spoke of, stuck in a college football world that does not exist anymore. Probably wants Dabo to come coach at LSU.

The power structure in the SEC is changing. This is why you see Paul freaking out, but other pundits who don't have a vested interest, like McCfee are loving it

But if recent reports from CBS Sports, FootballScoop and others are accurate — which is a very big “if” — the situation looks different. Those reports suggest that Kiffin and LSU reached out to multiple players on NFL rosters, or their representatives, in an effort to get them to challenge the NCAA in court and return to college. If so, that’s a bit different from simply reacting to a court ruling over which LSU had no control.”
I don't get the problem. You contact them, or their agents, and offer them a lay of the land, including your interest and their options. If I was a player struggling to make a roster, I'd certainly appreciate that contact.

While I agree with what you said, I don’t think these players are gonna move the needle enough for all of this bs to be worth it.

With Lane, you take the good with the bad. Ask any school he's been at, it comes with the territory. But the good far outweighs the bad.

If Scott ever used his connections to dig deep into how many of our 2019 football players were provided illegal benefits to play for us, he may have to start rooting for an Ivy league team.

Look, I respect wanting your team to "win the right way", but that doesn't line up with reality.

Scott is close to my age. I refuse to believe he's that naive about the way big time sports have been run over the last 60+:years.
