We were melting as LSU fans over Notre Dame?

I must have missed this.

I remember the Kelly vs Freeman comparisons and how Freeman benefitted from the new playoff format, but I don’t really recall any melting.

There is melting over everything here. If you don't recall it, you were either not paying attention to it (good for you), or you are being willfully ignorant about it (probably good for you as well )

People melting here over every little thing is as predictable as water being wet.

Not necessarily melting “over ND” but we were absolutely melting last year.

I don’t think you remember how riled up LSU fans got about some of the things that ND fans/media said when BK left to come here. Everyday there were 5 new posts about something that a ND fan said. If someone came out with a list that said Freeman was a better coach than Kelly, this board lost its mind.

If Kiffin and LSU coaches colluded with NFL players to sue the NCAA, he should be terminated immediately.

What a f’ing idiot IF that’s true.

FYI - there are no rules, only court decisions.

One, it would be up to the NFL to pursue charges because no one in college football has a rule against that.

Two, you better have lock tight proof or you're fricked with a counter suit.

I personally couldn't care less what ND did. They lost to the 2 best teams they played last year. There may have been some jealous, but not a large amount. OM is different. Their fanbase has lost its collective minds over Lane and have now convinced themselves he is a bad coach. I live around them, they are completely eaten up with hate, as if he dumped them at the altar for low class LSU. The entire fanbase is acting like teenage girls, men and women.

Screw any ignorant fools who are allowing scumbag talking heads like Paul Finescum to manipulate them into not liking Lane Kiffin.

Hell, I read this board this Spring when the best baseball coach in America, who had won 2 of the last 3 national titles, had a subpar season. 40% of those idiots wanted to get rid of him.

You can't fix stupid.

If I were LSU, I’d never let another coach or athlete appear on that POS program

Louisiana people, at large, dont have the stomachs to be long term winners. its always been true.

Its why we are traditionally a loser state. Because we are populated by losers.

That’s great, I didn’t really either. A lot of LSU fans did.

That’s true. They were also in the national championship game 2 years ago.

It’s natural to be jealous of teams that are doing better than yours. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing.

LSU fans did the same thing with Marcus Freeman and convinced ourselves that BK was a great coach.

Every fan base acts like this when things don’t go their way. Every single one.

I find nuance is tough for the brainless. I don't bother trying to explain things to people anymore.

You can believe players who go pro should not be able to return to college, but also believe the '22 class may have a legitimate argument here.

I don't get why anyone cares about other schools and their fanbase. This is a kill or be killed landscape, has been for a while but even more so now. I only care about LSU and if they're successful.

The LSU fanbase was not even close to what OM is currently. Not even remotely close.

As for ND being in the championship game, ok. Theybwere fortunate that Georgia lost their starting qb. Regardless, they haven't won anything in going on 40 years. Meanwhile LSU has won the second most NCs this century, only trailing bama. Anyone jealous of ND has some issues.

Ok, different situations. What if I compared it to how LSU melted about Nick Saban the entire time he was at Bama. Is that better?

You can make all of the qualifiers you want, that’s fine. Marcus Freeman has been better than BK, ND has been better than LSU recently. It’s ok to say that. I’m jealous that ND has been more successful than us recently. I want to get back to where they are at. That’s what Lane is here to do. I think he’ll do it.
