Just don’t care to get into it any more , you can have your opinion, I can have mine. As far as liberal that’s laughable, I am the biggest Trump and Brandon Gil person on here!! You have an agenda and it’s personal and that’s fine, we just have a disagreement about whether the team improved as the yr went a long and they did without a doubt. You still haven’t answered how in the world did sorry LSU hold the lead in 7th twice vs the best team in country when no other team could ? Didn’t OU have 4 sweeps, you would think they would have swept sorry LSU but it was their toughest series..

Nobody listens to your negative candy-arse. You bitch just to hear yourself bitch. You probably cant name 3 players on the softball team without Google yet you want to offer your uninformed negative shite.

Somebody is mad Beth didn't want his daughter.

Well, I will give you partial credit for coming back and admitting to differences of opinions. A liberal wouldn’t do that so I take that back.
As for the lead in the 7th against OU……You want a cookie? I didn’t know there was a column for Moral Victories in the standings. I must have missed that.

I am one of the team's biggest critics. After watching them in the first couple of weeks, I looked at the schedule and said, "This team will be 8 - 16 at best in the SEC".
The transfers looked lost. The returners looked like they were playing their first softball game ever. The Pitchers couldn't throw strikes. The Coaches looked disinterested.
It took another month or so before things started coming together. Who would have thought Edwards (Kylee not Tori) would have that many HR's. Who would have thought Monticello would be starting on a Fri. Night in the SEC?
Like it or not, they have improved. Hitters and Pitchers. And, credit goes to both the players and the Coaches.
Yes, they could play a couple of bad games in the regional and not make it to Supers, but to say they haven't improved is not fair.

Looks like I missed a lot of banter yesterday lol... I never predicted us for 8-16, but I was worried that the front end schedule could mess us up in the back half. Honestly, as a coach, I would rather have tough schedule up front than at the end, so hopefully we could gain momentum, but that doesnt always happen. When I scheduled for my teams, I would mix up tougher and easier teams before district play to give us the exposure to tough teams and a couple of "feel good" games mixed in.

Who did we play the first half vs. who did we play the second half of the season???
Do you mean, Pitchers? Because other than Bergeron being hurt a couple of games, the lineups were the same.
Geez dude....

Yeah, I thought you (or whoever posted that) was talking about players, not other teams.
I had just been in another forum where someone was talking about Beth playing her "favorites" instead of the "best" players and that LSU would be having a "mass exodus" at the end of the season because of that.
Of course, this was the same poster that posted that Pleasants was going to transfer to Oklahoma every year.

I think you would LSU's schedule at the end of the year last year beat them down mentally going into regionals.
I would much rather everyone have a good feeling, like they do now, even if the competition hasn't been as tough.

That forum is a haven for people who hate LSU and Beth, and I just don't get it. There are so many other programs and coaches out there that are unlikeable, but all the LSU haters gather as one for whatever reason.

What you confuse as hating is frustration with chronic underachieving.
Beth has had 15 seasons at LSU, no nattys, no SEC championships, and has been since 2017 since she got LSU to a WCWS.
This is high level softball, not some lifetime contract on mediocrity. You should expect more and not celebrate a 13-11 SEC record like most do.

I saw that too and that place has become a cesspool. I read it about once per month to laugh.

quote:OK, now beat one of those Regional Louisiana Junior Colleges in a R and/or SR to make it to the WCWS.
LSU beat every school in Louisiana by a combined 59 to 7. Hate to burst your bubble but they won't lose to a Louisiana school.
That's the only thing that matters!

Yes, pretty much.

I’ve given Beth a ton of credit this season for turning the season around, but we don’t have to pretend she’s been crushing it the last decade. It’s kind of a joke we haven’t been to the WCWS in nearly a decade.
Had the second half of the season finished like the first there would be plenty of reason to fire her.
And as mentioned above I don’t “hate” Beth Torina. She’s obviously a good person and very gregarious. Doesn’t mean she should get a pass to never have us a contender.

Agree, if she misses the WCWS again it’s time to cut bait.

Who would you hire, serious question not being sarcastic. Remember to get a top coach it will be 600k to 1 mil. I’ve seen Gajewski name floated here, he makes 675k and made over 900k last yr with bonuses
