while most are very disappointed in his performance in most ‘big’ games I’m not sure most want him fired. Speaking for myself, I’ve expressed concerns about his abilities to live up to the expectations for his salary range and to even live up to his predecessors in delivering one NC, I’m not calling for his firing. He’s doing ok in terms of pulling us out of the hole that O left us in and stabilizing the program, and delivering quality recruits. We are now a decent program. He should not be fired anytime soon. I’m just not convinced we’ll be elite under his tenure. The loss Saturday is a case in point. We should have won and we should have beaten USCw.

THIS X 1,000… I was worried about the game, but then after how sharp we played on both sides of the ball in the 1st half, I didn’t think we could lose; even if they got things rolling and started putting up points I didn’t think they could stop us from continuing to score….
(Well, THEY didn’t stop us ; it was the the INTs, haha)

It's not that we lost, it's HOW WE LOST!

I know the buck stops with BK, but I put majority of the blame on Sloan and the offense.

1. Play calling is so predictable (1st Down: Incomplete deep shot down the sideline, 2nd Down: Run up the middle for 1 yard at most). Consistently putting ourselves in bad spots on 3rd Down. Moving the sticks keeps Reed and that offense off the field and shortens the game.

2. Those 3 picks by Nuss were atrocious. He's gotten bailed out a couple of times by our D and from penalties, but these came back to bite us.

3. Our offensive line is so damn soft. I guarantee you that if they did to Nuss what Shepherd was doing to Herbert yesterday in the Saints game, our line wouldn't retaliate at all. It's no wonder we can't run the ball effectively. Why Sloan doesn't incorporate SOMETHING to help the run game get going (jet sweeps with Thomas, Anderson, etc.) is beyond me.

It’s frustrating that we keep losing big games the same way.

That's a matter of opinion grounded in the level of success you want. If you want a 3 to 4 loss team on average, I think you've found your man.

I say no way we L to Vandy at home and Bama a toss up. Probly L at UF though and OU is terrible no way L at home but could be cold weather and favor them like ND several years ago.
