bet you’re a Matt Lee apologist.
Probably so. That same Matt Lee who allowed campus gamedays at LSU to turn into debauchery and shooting alley before forced to cancel Unity Field.
No thanks on Lee, he is compromised.

Matt Lee is a candidate. Think he’s done a nice job as interim & would be a good choice.
Isn’t he mega woke?

Don’t know his politics & am observing from a distance.
If woke, don’t want.

He shouldn’t even be the dean of Ag. You people are so dumb

What makes him unqualified to be Dean of Ag?
Posted on 10/28/25 at 12:20 pm to Slippy
Rousse is the guy…he has the BOS votes needed.

From Tate to Rousse...

Is Landry a great Guv,. or what?

I bet you’re a Matt Lee apologist. He’s actually incredibly under qualified. No background in Ag at all. Sociology professor? Cmon
Rousse would be fantastic
exactly, not to mention he has been fantastic for McNeese Athletics both in helping hire staffs and fund raising.

Tate was awesome....but i think you will be surprised with Rousse. He has been great at McNeese

I don’t blame Tate one bit for leaving with the shite show Landry has put out.

Governor Omar would be a great nickname for Landry.

he got a better job, to me it had nothing to do with Landry, Rutgers is a better job for a university president. maybe not the HC of a football team but for a university president it is
not Rousse is gonna knock it out the park imo. I do have concerns he brings Heath Schroyer over as AD. I have concerns with that, not on the field concerns but the constant in the spot light BS and the tictoc bs of his GF.
on the field Heath has knocked it out the park, same with fund raising and facilities.

Oh I don’t know maybe the fact he has literally zero background in agriculture?
He went to community college and then some small college and got his degree in sociology. Was mainly in sociology his entire career? How is he qualified to lead our ag department let alone the university

His background is pretty impressive if you read it. Not saying the others don’t have similar ones but I think he would do just fine.
Not for a major University president.

He is well known to be a supporter of DEI.
Can’t imagine a sitting conservative governor is gonna hire a person diametrically on the oppo side of him politically…
No thank you.

Wade is not leaving a basketball school because he’s close to the Mcneese administration
Wade is making less (base pay) than McMahon this year. The total value of McMahon's contract ($20.3M) is higher than the total value of Wade's NC State contract ($17.2). The point is, LSU still has more money to spend if need be.
Now, could/would NC State bump that up if Wade performs well this year? One would have to think so. But it's not implausible if there is a friendly school president and strong financial incentive to return to a school/state where he's already familiar with the donors.

Adding on!

In 2004, Rousse continued his education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he earned a second master’s degree in economics in 2006 and a doctorate in economics three years later

Rousse was on staff at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Initially, he was an economic outreach specialist and then moved into the financial markets group as a policy research specialist. Rousse was the principal of a registered investment advisory firm and was a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Sounds like a homerun hire to me!

People will hate Rousee because it will be under Landry.
Just how it is.
