Imagine a Cubs fan feeling hopeless about a team they root for. It's difficult to imagine

Feels like two big variables for this team are:

1. How well does Max shoot and can he get going?
2. Can Nwoko stay out of foul trouble and stay on the floor?

When one of those things happens, seems like we at least have a chance. When neither happen, we become way too limited.

Great game, well coached. Sometimes you run into a buzzsaw opponent like TT was the other night…they were hot…
Seek help if you’re too emotionally invested in any sport. It’s just a game!

I enjoyed that game, it was fun to watch us play consistently well for most of the night.

I've certainly taken CMM to task throughout his tenure here, and I think reasonable and justifiably so.

However, when we post a game like that he should be commended and I do in this case. I truly want him to win and that will ALWAYS supersede the need to be right on a message board...ALWAYS.

Now we have to go out and rinse and repeat or it will be just a blip on the season. Geaux Tigers!!

We are 1-1 inches quad 1 games so let’s pump the breaks on the enthusiasm until we play a few more teams with a pulse.

Both of your points are valid, but don't tell the whole story. Tamba and Sutton were the keys to this win. Along with Thomas who has been consistently good so far this year. The spanking we took from Texas Tech was probably the worst game Thomas has had with us.

Just wait a few weeks and it will be gone. His teams always had one decent win a year, followed by disastrous SEC play. Nothing is different yet. People are going to forget the team got slaughtered in their previous game before this one.

All our games starting Jan. 3 are either Quad 1 or Quad 2, except two. It's up to the McMen: they can make their bones, or go back to the terlet like they've done the past three years.

this is the type of fan that literally does pull for LSU to lose. Don't let this loser tell you differently...he most certainly wants MM to lose.

Actually a lot is different this year. We have an SEC caliber PG. We have a big that can post up and score with either hand. We have a FW than can score inside and outside. We have a white boy that can shoot the 3. We have a guy like Tamba that does all the little things and hits the boards. So yes it is different. Will it lead to a tournament bid? We will see but to say that this is the same old thing shows a lack of understanding of basic basketball and McMahon last 3 teams.

I think that dude is another one that would rather lsu would lose with MM, and gets upset when we don't lose....although they won't admit it.

It is eating you up inside that they won yesterday, and that people have hope. You are the worst fan out there. This team is a lot different than the past. Where LSU ends up who knows, as the SEC has really gotten very tough over the last couple years, in terms of quality depth. BTW, Texas Tech is a damn good team and has had major success the last few years. They were on fire against LSU. It happens, even if you try and act like it doesn't.

Looking at the season as a whole have to think the Texas Tech game was just nerves combined with a bad shooting day against a good team.

Last night was an important win for OOC schedule. We cupcake out last 3 games to end the year, so getting a potential Quad 1 win OOC is pretty big. We are likely 1-1 Quad 1 and 1-0 Quad 2 from OOC. Would be better if we had a couple more 1/2 games under our belt, but it is what it is.

SEC play will give us the rest of the opportunities to build the resume.

The reason they got slaughtered is because they were not aggressive and TT was. They were waiting on a Thomas to make all the plays instead of playing hard with him. It’s a good sign after that game that McKinnon and Sutton woke up and joined the party. Now we see if they can follow it up with consistency.

I agree with this. Yes, TT shot lights out to begin the game, but they calmed down and we still couldn't make a real dent into their lead.

We were relying on DJ to dribble all around while Max and everyone stood around, TT wasn't having it. Hopefully we learned a lesson with that game.

Summed up perfectly. This team goes as these 2. I might add that Sutton is the wildcard. He played great last night.
