My GOAT. I would also cheat if I were a HC
Name the greatest coaches. All cheats

Is John Wooden not available?

He will be gone after this year.
With Indiana opening, Virginia, a few others.
Likely will end up at the school Indiana poaches from
ETA: I'd imagine Chris Beard will be a hot commodity. Ole Miss will not shy away from hiring Wade.
Going to be real shitty when he is beating our arse

I’d call Duke and offer Chris Carrawell.

In MBB, take a shot at Rick Pitino. He’s turned St. John’s around in 2 years.

If Ole Miss loses Beard they will ABSOLUTELY target Wade and they won't care at all about his past transgressions. It sucks bad enough that LSU is the SEC's doormat under McMahon. It would be much worse to see Ole Miss, the historical doormat of the SEC, own LSU with the coach LSU fans want, but the administration couldn't get over themselves enough to try to rehire.

He’s 72. Give me 42 year old Will Wade please.

Cool well doing things on the up and up have worked out really well these last 3 seasons
Do you have a list of successful college basketball coaches that don’t “cheat” ?

Someone earlier mentioned Sanford coach Bucky McMillan. He might be worth considering. He’s turned around a smaller program quickly and before that was a dominant high school coach. Supposedly ‘Buckyball’ is an uptempo style, and he’s a pretty young guy.
Wouldn’t hurt to look into though I’ll be honest I’ve never seen them play. But his resume at least looks pretty solid so far

If no Wade or a proven higher level coach, McMillan should be at top of list amongst midmajor candidates. With all the job openings come March, he'll be heavily pursued and someone is going to hire him.

Donovan hugely proven in the college ranks of course and definitely a long shot, but still making the inquiry for due diligence. Wade has proven he can win in the SEC and specifically LSU and is 42. McMillan looks like he can build and sustain a program from his limited time at Samford and is 41. He’s also from the South coming from Birmingham.

You think Coach K is a cheater? You think Zion, Cam Reddish and RJ Barrett all went to duke for the phenomenal 4 month education they received?
Completely irrelevant. This hypothetical what aboutism is the as bad as the Wade-stans. There are other good coaches out there.

quote:How is his reply irrelevant to the poster he responded to? Wade cheated, Coach K cheated, John Wooden cheated, Bill Self cheated, if you're going to discredit Wade for being a cheater, you certainly need to have the same thoughts about other coaches that cheated.
Completely irrelevant.
