So an injunction was initially filed that made Wright and Harris eligible. We recruited and landed them. The SEC creates a rule after that which makes Wright and Harris ineligible (according to them). They threaten sanctions if we roster them. We don't roster them.

That's about right, correct?

What possible grounds do they have to expel LSU?

They don’t have any yet. But if Lane adds those guys to the roster, Sankey is positioning himself to be able to put it to a vote

That is not relevant and is basically a digression of red meat
How is the fact that LSU has done nothing wrong irrelevant to them being potentially punished?

Is Sankey somehow expecting LSU to roster them by Thursday morning? Because he already wants a vote.

This is a shot across the proverbial bow, I imagine for not just LSU but everyone else who wants to run to local state courts to disrupt the SEC's authority over member institutions. We're not special; we're just the first one to force their hand into this strategy.

Then why are they meeting to decide whether or not LSU is expelled on Thursday?

Sankey must already have the votes. No way he schedules a meeting to fail.

Now, can he defend it in court is another question.

This is all about the halftime comment.

Of course he can’t. So the whole thing is a farce.

Don't think for one second we won't get fricked at some point this season in a crucial moment because of Sankey's crusade.

I am frickin pissed about this. This is totally outrageous. Feels really personal. It is like a personal insult to every LSU fan.

Kind of funny, they amended the filing to say that they are totally not suing "LSU"; they're just suing Rousse, Verge, Kiffin, and Lee Mallett.

It was a mistake by SEC attorneys to name LSU and the Board (not individual board members). They would have been easily dismissed.

all it takes is a "hands to the face" call on a late interception that would seal the game for lsu phantom holding etc

I went through all your posts in this thread. You never addressed it. What rule did LSU break? Why is LSU being singled out?

The league met without LSU to discuss sanctions prior to LSU committing any violations? Sounds an awful lot like collusion to me.
